Mandatory Update - Forks at block 155000, LESS THAN 24 HOURS LEFT !

Sexcoin-0.6.4.1-RC1 addresses the desync issue, and also has code that will change our difficulty retarget time from 8 hours to 30 minutes.

The last client 0.6.3.1 will not work after block 155000 , although it will work perfectly up until that point.

The oldest cleint 0.6.3.0 will not communicate with 0.6.4.1, and will have difficulty finding nodes as upgrades roll out.

The new client is version 0.6.4.1. RC 1 Please back up your wallet before installing the new client.

This version is compatible with previous versions. No other changes need to be made

Clients will be posted as they become availible

Hm, github complains that the file is too big?!

I suggest you use Lava's previous build: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252896.msg3124634#msg3124634

Yeap That build should be OK, I added it to the OP... I have troubles downloading any files from github without a manager.

NEW CLIENT IS IN GITHUB!
sexcoin-0.6.4.1-RC1
The new client is up in github in the main sexcoin-project repository now.

Please upgrade.

Lavajumper's source code has been pulled in and there are binaries for windows and linux 12.04 x86_64.

These are going to be the official clients. RC1 will enable the block retarget.

And yes, we know there has been some confusion around this. Lavajumper apologizes, most of the confusion has been centered around his RL and not being able to communicate a lot of this properly. Sorry.

To make things simple... Get the client that's now in the main repository and use that (0.6.4.1-RC1). As always, backup your wallet first. There are some minor changes between RC1 in the main repository and the RC1 in my repository. Give me feedback.

Most of the coding time was spent getting the retarget correct, getting the sound working, getting the magic number fix prepped, getting the desync to an acceptable level and getting some memory leaks plugged up. What this means is that not alot of time was spent getting the make scripts 'perfect'. You may need to adjust some of the pathing for your environment.

To all the brave souls that helped with the initial RC1 release...THANK YOU!

So if miners don't update to the newest client for Sexcoin, are they fucked? LOL

~BCX~

If they are using 0.6.3.0, they'll slowly be starved of nodes and that could happen anytime.. Don't blame us, that was the original code, probably written by a "coin creation" service, because the original dev couldn't even do a linux compile on a linux box, that we have been trying to rectify.. We could have created a new coin without all the drama, but does the world need yet another alt?. So we went up against it, and tried to rescue a coin that might actually be useful in the real world.

0.6.3.1 was our version of the same code, with everything we could fix without a hardfork.

Our initial plan was to release a new client while we were "under the radar" and not on an exchange, but we were listed before we had finished coding a new client, so have had to rush out a release ..

So, yes, they need to upgrade from 0.6.3.1, and do it quickly, or they are fucked, if they are solo miners. All pools have upgraded.

Solo miners running 0.6.3.1 will begin to get 'starved' out, so their blocks will begin to get rejected by the network as 'not meeting criteria'. The work we've done on the code makes this client very stable and quite responsive.

Not to be a dick...but the only reason I can see not to upgrade at this point is laziness, unless you simply haven't gotten the message. If you know anyone that hasn't been watching the boards, please help us and let them know.

Also, If anyone needs help with the compile, PM me and I will help any way I can.
