Closed the pool.

* Stratum only
* PPLNS payout
* Working notification system for blocks, payouts, idle miners
* Pool pays the network transaction fee to the miners
* Automatic payout every minute
* 2% fee
* Difficulty: 128

Thanks for reading. Smiley

Please read carefully!

It seems Stratum have issues with PoS coins. The problem exists on all of my pools with PoS coins, not just this coin. Blocks are randomly not submitted because coin daemon sends back an error. Submitblock() and getblocktemplate() are not working sometimes.

The server is fine, no serious load (CPU below 10%, memory below 60%, SSD) which could cause problems.

This affects your payouts, you get about 20-30% less coin if you are mining on a stratum enabled pool. The issue happens on every stratum enabled PoS pool, not just mine. So please consider this before you keep mining here.

Options:

  • Keep mining here and take the loss
  • Go and find another pool which dont have this problem (getwork?)
  • Go back solo mining, however that could be unprofitable with this global hashrate and difficulty

I sent PM to the coin developers, wrote message on github to check if Stratum can handle this somehow. This needs time to be solved.

I set fee to zero on the pool.

Have a great day, thanks for reading!

? pool working. Hashrate was displayed as 0 on website when I was mining, perhaps this was a glitch.

It must be working, however stats are displayed wrong. Investigating it.

Hiya OrbitCoin Pool members and Owners;

Joined the Pool and seems i am like 97% of the total Hashing power of the pool. Hope you dont mind and can send me a private message if you like.

Take Care guys enjoying the pool so far but honestly just sticking around trying to find an Alt currency i enjoy mining. So we will see how it goes. I do have a bunch of questions if there is an Email for support.

Stats be misbehaving! I can see my share count increase, but my balance hasn't changed in about 48 hours. Anyone else experiencing this?

MyBadOmen, saw you mining for a while there - was cool to watch all those blocks!

Ok I tried to mine the other orbpool when it first launched and could never connect for some reason?

No problems with yours though  Grin

Ooo and 2.5 reward per block , I love it when I have work for my pay  Wink

seriously I like the ethos behind the coin, there are far too many areas of research that are untouchable at the moment due to political/corporate (are they not two sides of the same coin?) agendas influencing science.

Is the pool offline?
I can get to the pool webpage ok but can not connect with cgminer.
The pool is showing 0.00 hashrate so I assume there is an issue.

will switch back asa it comes back.

THIS IS FANTASTIC CONFIRMATION OF A PROBLEM I HAVE NOTICED WITH MANY POOLS!!!

I HAVE ASKED MANY POOL OPS IF THEY COULD EXPLAIN WHY I WAS GETTING FOUND BLOCKS REJECTED!!
I WAS REPEATEDLY IGNORED AND ACCUSED OF NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT STALES AND ORPHANS WHERE!
I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG!!! I WITNESSED THE EVENT FAR FAR TOO MANY TIMES.

So wonder I often have such poor results..
So I must avoid POS coins on stratum fair enough.

THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR SOLVING AND GIVING AUTHORITATIVE VOICE TO THIS PROBLEM!

this has been long solved by me. torszy please make sure u are on my latest stratum code. enable tx messages (coindaemon_tx) and all the rejected blocks will be stopped

EDIT: these rejected blocks are all caused the RedMist the developer for not telling people that the coin supported transaction messages and therefore pool ops not enabling it in stratum. unlike most other coin devs who release the full coin spec publically redmist didn't until recently

That post was made several months ago. Smiley I updated stratum but ORB daemon eats up my server resources. Therefore its stopped.

BULLSHIT
I Am STILL HAVING MANY LEGITIMATE FOUND BLOCKS NOT ACCEPTED
Not just from POS but from ALL stratum sites
DIAMOND
BBQ
STABLE
EMERALD
TAG
MIN
World
DIGI

I have screen shots and records of times

Last Night on EMERALDCOIN I HAD ONLY 8 OF 38 FOUND AND RECORDED BLOCKS ACCEPTED in 20 minutes while ALONE in Nordic's pool

even accounting for very bad luck with variance with 9M I have been AVERAGING 20-30% OF WHAT I SHOULD BE GETTING for the corresponding diff.

My 10k of rigs is lucky to make $10/day When YOUR POOLS SAY I SHOULD BE MAKING $70-90

At this point I have lost so much time and money and confidence I have little interest to bring this problem to the attention of the average miner/SUCKER

P2pool.org seems to be the ONLY pool NOT affected...But their selection and participation rate is low
