I think begging is pathetic, and if I see people begging for merit, I add them to my beggars list, and I put them on ignore. If you are on ignore, then your posts won't be seen, and therefore you won't get any merit.

Is it not allowed to ask for merit at the end of your every post? Like posting reply to a topic then adding "Can you give merit to this?" at the end of your answer? I asked because I want to rank up. Thanks guys I think there is no rules for not allowing to ask merit at the end of your posts. Just make sure that you will make a high quality post if you are going to put some phrases asking for merit. Aside from that people here are not inconsiderate. If they think that your posts has a quality then they will give you what you deserve.

Thanks guys Asking for a merit for every post that you make would totally defeat its purpose of blocking/avoiding spammers in the forum. The purpose on why this system was implemented was primarily for the decrease of spammers/abusers. A lot of people are making useless threads/comments which detriments the sole purpose on why this forum was created. If you really want to have merit points, then try your best to make meaningful comments that would benefit the forum and other people as well based on your knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrencies. Hope that answers your question OP. I agree with your opinion So they are not reckless post, hopefully everyone can post useful things in this forum.

I'm not sure about that, but i think it's okay if you want to ask for merit? I read the thread about merit before, and if i'm correct, what's not allowed is to sell merit. So i'm pretty sure asking is allowed, although i don't know if it's also stated in the post. I don't know if i miss the part or what. But if you want to be merited, there are people who give a kind of service where they review your post and they will decide whether it's worthy for them to merit or not. I found one in the economy > service. Maybe you can try and look it.
I will! Thank you for sharing your personal opinion on this subject matter.

Thanks guys This is a very difficult gift depending on whether we post quality or not others so try to make useful posts This is actually a good question to ask, and asking for merits is not recommended. The purpose of having merits is to make people posts something that has more quality, reliable or helpful to other people here in the forum, and to share their thoughts and knowledge about cryptocurrencies. I know that ranking up would be difficult than it was before, but ranking up by merits that isn't asked, begged for people would be a really great achievement.

Thanks guys I think it's not good, I guess if we make a good post even though we do not ask people will give merit to us, starting today we all find it difficult to get merit should learn to make a good post

if you ask me, you can, but I doubt that you'll receive any if the post isn't worth it and even if it's not and still get's merited, 1-2 merit points couldn't hurt that much, so basically 1 person can give you one merit and that's it. Begging is a different story.

You don't need to ask for merits. Just make a very constructive post rather useful to gain merits. Buying merit is not allowed nor selling.Creating a useful post that can help other users is the way to earn merits.

Thanks guys I will refer you to this poster. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=976210he hasn't once requested merits, yet look at how many he has..... you need to step up your game and be more like him fella.

You will probably will get a negative trust or some people will report on your moves. Basically you can ask for whatever, but only users will decide does your post deserve a Merit or doesn't. Good luck!

Thanks guys I know it's a little difficult to rank up in this forum this time, but it is good because we need to post a meaningful post and let other people reward us a merit for that. But to make a quality post very relative, depending on the person who read our post. Unfortunately, I've been trying to make a quality post and hope to get merit, but it's just a dream. Just a good person and understand the merit system that will reward the post that we make.

I think the admins should come up with some rules/guidelines on this behaviour because I don't think it should be allowed. It's redundant asking for merit because if your post or thread is worthwhile then people will give it merit without having to be instructed to do so. Doing this is essentially begging and in my opinion should be treated the same as begging for bitcoin and the posts either edited to remove the offending part or the post/thread just deleted entirely.
