Yeah, too many coins and it gets confusing which ones to follow. Just always do research, the team, community, the project, and always have good people you follow or have healthy discussion with so you have atleast these people to discuss about certain coins, as it is really hard to do it on your own. But always , always do the last say and not really depend on others, just make others view as reference.

I would also do some backround on each person as well and make sure their history matches up with their Bio they posted on the ICO webpage.
