For example, this is what I see:

You have received a total of 32 merit. This is what determines your forum rank. You typically cannot lose this merit. You have 0 sendable merit (sMerit) which you can send to other people. There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

As far as I know, Active Full Members only got free 4 sMerits after Merit system implementation.
And looking at your Merit History, you already spent all your spendable merit.
The 50% sMerit in every Merit received only applies to the new Merit that you will receive. So there are no 50 sMerit in your account to begin with.

In comparison, Active Members got only 1 sMerit to spend.
I (member) already received 25 Merit since this system started, that is equals to 12 sMerit (1 sMerit left) which is listed in my Sent Merit History.
