Hey guys, I know many coins start out as ERC20 (or Waves token) and eventually devs decide they want their own blockchain. I am wondering if anyone knows any projects that plan to do this and go with a custom Proof of Stake blockchain.

The only one I know is Wagerr $wgr which is currently a Waves token but will be coming out with its own custom PoS blockchain along with the release of the mainnet sometime this month. If anyone knows any others feel free to add below.

Thanks.

Usually they use ETH platform to make an ICO on it and crowdfund money for they project.  It is understandable that ETH will never be able to host so many project as is right now built on it and serious projects have plan to make own block chain.  The rest will be forced to do that latter of pay huge transaction fees that will jeopardize their project.

Personally i like erc-20 tokens, you need only one wallet for all erc 20 tokens while for new blockchain and mainnet we need individual wallets as well which seems quite a hassle to me.

The main problem with ERC-20 tokens is the buying and selling of them. There are not enough exchanges listing a good range of such tokens.

One token that I believe has POS mining enabled on ERC 20 token is POS token. They did some airdrops last year and they aren't too well known but I believe you can mine and stake through that smart contract. Not sure how it works though, that was too many steps for me to undertake.

Yeah, I believe it was actually the first to do so, hence their name. I just checked my ETH address after reading this, suddenly recalling that I might have some and I do indeed. In fact, it seems I was sent a small amount the second time after receiving the first, almost 3 months ago, so I'm wondering actually if it's "auto" staking.

Interesting topic to follow, I didn't know Wagerr was going through this step.

You still think Wagerr is actually gonna release the main net? I stopped following them after they shat on the community for a 5th time, just delaying for some weird excuse and never keeping their investors in the know..

OMG and WTC are my main horses, both set to go to their own blockchain with staking within a few months.. Id check them out!

LOL I think that is totally false. Etehreum tokens can get easily integrated to any platform. They are nothing special and there and 1000. Hard is to integrate coins that were build from scratch and are unique like Monero.

Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) is making the shift to mainnet soon and they will be a POS blockchain by years end, currently aiming to make that possible during Q3. There have been some delays as of late that is why I say years end for POS blockchain release.

Nimiq (NET) is one of them to built their Blockchain. As i know it will be in Q1 2018. Currently NET has 10m supply but in new blockchain there will be 1m supply . So they will convert 10Net - 1 NIM . you can find more info here ;
 https://medium.com/nimiq-network/supply-pricing-of-nimiq-4438ca65cec6

After launching Mainnet we can mine NIM on website. its P2P system. More info here ; https://nimiq.com/
