I have been researching NEO to understand what it is, it’s roots, how it works and its storage options.
Many articles exist that explain the “differences” between Ethereum and NEO, but they do the debate little justice. They skim over things, don’t explore them well, explore only one aspect, or aren’t holistic in their analysis and don’t explain why the differences even matter and what their relevance to the real world is.
Therefore, I would like you to share your opinions about NEO and Ethereum, explain which one is a better long term investment then justify your reasoning.

This discussion is already in the marketplace section I hope. In popular smart contracts comparison ethereum is widely used for creating the new projects in the market but NEO seems emerging now. We need to find the good project investors who have to create their tokens using the ERC20 eth smart contracts. Investment wise ethereun is the best coin in the complete crypto currency market.

I prefer NEO platform because it has more advance technology than ethereum's plus the erc20 tokens seems to be oudated by NEP5 tokens which is under NEO's platform,NEO is has already started to expand,in fact there are new coins that are being developed in NEO's platform which is great because the community has started to take some step forward so we can have more complex coins than erc20 tokens.

Ethereum all the way. Although it may not take off as much as NEO eventually might, at the end of the day, Ethereum is way more reliable for me. As such, I have no doubts using Ethereum as a long term investment.

I would totally go for ETH. The good fame (barring scammy ICO) ETH has brought to the crypto world, no other coin even comes close to it. Secondly, I think ETH is much more FUD resistant than NEO. ETH is pretty much stable in that respect. Just a few months ago, we all saw what happened to the NEO prices when China banned the ICOs. Right now also Chinese Govt. is very strict against all cryptos. I don't see a good future of NEO, until either China softens on cryptos or devs decide to relocate entirely.
And if you ask me which coin is the biggest competitor of ETH, then it is EOS for sure. Gotta see, which one gets more support, EOS or ETH.

Of these coins, I would definitely choose ETH as it is more competitive and reinforced by a good plan and a strong team that will bring it to peak this year.

If i am going to choose on Ethereum and Neo i will choose Ethereum because it was much more stable than Neo also being the second biggest crypto currency i am pretty sure that it has more and full potential than Neo . Ethereum also can dominates crypto currency according to some expert and can surpass what Bitcoin has done in the past. Ethereum also has the possibility to become the new face of crypto currency in the future.

Choose ETH as of now - no doubt about that. Going forward NEO might become more useful, but there is high risk associated with that. May be put in a 75-25 allocation, with 75% being ETH, rest NEO - this is just between these two coins.

Will for me i choice ethereum. Ethereum has more security than other coin. And very awesome block chain and smart contract thats make him unique.and i think ethereum have big potential and popularity than neo. Neo cant use in investing ico while ethereum they can. Because maby ico know how ethereum secured.

NEO is a altcoins based on its own blockchain, despite its own fast grown in short time i dont think it is more reliable than Ethereum, ethereum is more stable than any other altcoins, we use ETH more common than NEO and ETH is used by many ICOs than any other platforms. So i will keep investing ETH rather than NEO.

I also go for etherium,it has a great developer, more stable, advanced technicalities and it is not surprising that it ranks as second to bitcoin.Although Neo have a potential but i think the majority will still choose etherium. This is just an opinion and everyone has their own.

The only profitable thing from neo is the gas emission for those neo staking holders. but ethereum gives a better user friendly platform rather than neo which easy to be used by a lot of people around the world. Remember there is a lot of people interested to developer 3rd development for neo project.

NEO is very promising but still has to prove itself. Over 90% of ICO's are done on the Ethereum platform.

for long-term investment, it seems to me much prefer NEO because it still has chances to ascend to a higher price. In addition, see further development is also nicer NEO.

Both. NEO is superior to Ethereum in many aspects but Ethereum has the advantage of scale. They belong to the same class of blockchain and are good bets.

I suggested you have to choose them instead choosing one of them. Both of them has a really big potential in the future and it will start this year. Just HODL Bitcoin, ETH and NEO just diversify it properly. Like 20$ on Bitcoin, 40% on ETH and 40% on NEO.

I'm more familiar with ETH than NEO so I prefer ETH. The ETH platform is generally an option on every ICO project so it has good potential as many people use it.
