Hi!
I recently bought a used rig at a decent price and finaly have it up and running. Its hashing away, however for some reason the power drain doesnt change at all when i try to change the powerlimit with MSI afterburner. I tried swapping the mobo, doing a clean windows install and a few other things. Nothing seems to work. I tried googling around for a bit but couldnt seem to find anyone with a similar problem. It affects both the 1060 and the 1070 cards.
Edit: even tho windows registers the 1060 cards as such, in afterburner they show up as "GP106-A".
My setup is 5x gtx 1060 3gb msi gaming 1x gtx 1070 msi gaming asus prime z270a g4400 celeron 8gb ddr4 2400 ram 120 gb ssd drive. 1x850w corsair psu 1x650w corsair psu
If i was able to underclock it (as i can do just fine with my other rig) the whole thing should be fine on the 850w. However, right now its drawing 820w (ish) from the wall at 157 Mh/s (eth).
Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
ps. the guy i bought the cards from unplugged the LEDs on the gpu's. Could this be of any significance?
