I definitely think this will be the year of the Altcoin. The top coins I think will grow this year are as follows (all of which I am holding).

Onion (DeepOnion)

Good things will happen this year for the Altcoins. But I also am picking coins I think have real world solutions backing them. I think other crap coins will fall away.

I would say :

Neo : Because it's unforkable, very fast, it's quite centralized but in my opinion it's a necessary evil for an enterprise grade blockchain hosting ICOs and efficient dapps.

DeepOnion : It's a very ambitious privacy-oriented cryptocurrency with multiple layers of privacy planned and multiple interesting features, user-friendly, very active devs and large community.

Litecoin : Because it's one of the most established altcoin, one mainstream investors and crypto-enthusiast will continue to trust.

KucoinShare : I am not sure about this one as it depends on how Kucoin manage its business, it looks great so far and giving daily dividends.

Random pick : I think many with good ideas and purpose will grow

Neo - with all the token that are coming

Iota - big partnership and first use cases

DeepOnion - great features coming

Digibyte - due to its stability and speed

Ethereum - perhaps flippening will happen

My favorites are: NEO, SHIELD, VTC, ONION, VEN.
I did a research for all of these and its development is just great, some of them also have lower market cap, so there's a space
for their growth and they are also privacy coins, which assures that they will grow even higher.
I wish I had more fiat to invest in them, that's all I can say.

Here are my picks for 2018, and the come in the problem they're solving:

• Blockchain Interoperability:  AION  [this will be huge as custom blockchains will eventually need to communicate with each other]
• Artificial Intelligence:  CND  [bringing AI to everyone and allowing transactional interactions for personal usage]
• Fintech: SALT   [I'm surprised this hasn't popped already as SALT loans can (or will) be paid back in their token at over $20 a coin]
• Privacy: DeepOnion   [Leveraging TOR 0.3.3, Obsf4, and Meek, will allow citizens trapped behind state firewalls and where cyrpto is banned to interact with DeepOnion]

Golem,stratis,ethereum,eos and cardano these are my top 5 existing coins i think it will grow more than it's current price but i think it will take a year for now.

Stratis, cardano and ethreum nice pick you have. I invest some cardano, and ethereum I always keep on observing in these coins. Yes price may grow this year and we can earned profit.

Yes of course because some of them has potential to grow like in ethereum and also many altcoin are still you can trust and invest to it. Even its cheaper you can get to it a high profit, also many altcoin are profitable you just need is to search and read in the internet about there background. "Standard" altcoins:
Bitcore BTX: It's kind of an improved version of Bitcoin, SegWit, 10 Mb blocksize, 2,5 min block time and right now gives 6% weekly airdrop

Smart contracts altcoins:
Ethereum ETH: Yes, old ETH I think is right now the more interesting for future development, PoS for Mining, Raiden Network and Atomic swaps coming soon, Vitalik is definitely a dictator but a genius also

DeepOnion ONION (As my avatar shows ): It's a privacy coin with a great community and a really active dev team behind it, anonymity has been guaranteed trough the use of TorNetwork and soon will be added Stealth Addresses and DeepSend, furthermore it has some unique features such as DeepVault and 10 weekly airdrops left.

Neo is too expensive, the price of Stellar and Monero I think will increase in the middle of this year, but its just my opinion after all

If you are looking for short term grow, you can analyze a roadmap and a conference calendar of those projects and buy few days before. Usually when a team is performing at a conference, price goes up for short term.
