in the year 2018, I think altcoin that will grow is ripple, xrp, neo, eos, waves. because the 5 altcoins can guarantee growth in 2018.

My favourite altcoin is Ethereum and Dash, so in my opinion in the long term these altcoin wil grow and the price will going up multiple times, because these coin has features and give many advantages to the cryptocurrency community. These altcoin could be better and most popular than others in a few years.

I think altcoins have good future. Any altcoin can grow its value, but not every coin does have the potential. My top five currency is NEO, Waves, Stratis, ETC, XVG.

The most underrated coin, in my opinion, is DeepOnion (as you may guess from my signature ), it's developing fast, has a strong community, and going to be listed on exchanges like BitIndia and Cobinhood soon.
I'm actively posing on steemit, so I'm also a steem-holder. Though I don't think it may do x10 or x100 in a short time, it's definitely not an unprofitable investment.
Also, OST (Simple Token) looks promising they are simplifying blockchain for a regular business, and I think it's an amazing idea.

I'm super bullish about a small handful at the moment, mainly post-ICO's that are arriving on the market when it's starting to look stable again.

Ethereum would be my number one pick. Since the birth of Ethereum, it established a good reputation to the community as well who engages on it and also the investors. It creates and gives us good projects that we are still joining on. It lays different platforms that makes them unique above all. They have all trusted investors, board of directors as well as someone who manage the campaigns or the project also. Many people are still engaging in ethereum as it next to bitcoin and maybe the same as bitcoin as of now.

It's hard to determine which one will grow. But somehow we can also determine  if it will grow fast depending  on it's popularity and  if it has great technology.
