They did an airdrop last year and as far as I know there are no plans to do it this year as of yet. https://www.stellar.org/blog/bitcoin-claim-lumens-2/. Perhaps that changes in the future but I wouldnt bank on an airdrop happening anytime soon.

No , no free airdrop for lumen now , 2014 free airdrop stellar ( old name ) to Facebook user, last year airdrop to Bitcoin and ripple holder , so currently don't have any news for airdrop , just invest some lumen for long term holding if you believed lumen potential ...

Yes you are right, if OP wants airdrop stellar lumens, maybe he can join and be active in the Stellar Forum. But if he does not want to bother, op can buy it in exchanges.
