DescriptionVestacoin, aptly named after the roman goddess Vesta. A goddess that embodied family and community- So too does Vestacoin. The purpose of our coin is to empower micro communities, organizations and even families. We envision an application so easy to use- a household might use the apps to keep track of and pay out allowances. Imagine an app that could create lists, set rewards and payout based on requests and photo verification. Scale-able to any degree- school systems could implement the app to reward students based on behavior and allow payments via the app at "student stores". It begins here. Please hold off any negative comments- this coin is in very early development.
We also envision a coin created for the community by the community. We want to create a "Family" to stay true to the core meaning of Vestacoin and to that degree- we will leave alot of the development up to the community. In this way there are alot more ways to obtain vesta-coin then mining. Not everyone has mining hardware but does have other skills. We want to taylor to everyone's abilities.

https://github.com/vesta-official/How to Solo-MineWith the source there is a built in simple-wallet and miner. You are able to do this on a linux machine, vm or container.
Step 1.) Download the source and enter build directory
git clone https://github.com/vesta-official/vesta
cd vesta/build/release/src
Step 2.) Run the daemon in a screen instance:
Press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + D to disconnect from the screen session. This will leave the daemon running.
Step 4.) Create a wallet:
./simplewallet
[G]enerate New Wallet
name: wallet.bin
Enter a password.
Start Mining:
This will allow you to mine with the daemon- you can now close (ctrl+c) the simplewallet and you will continue to mine.
WINDOWS:
Until someone steps forward to claim the windows wallet you will have to resort to a linux vm. Dont worry though, this community will have one for you in no time!!
