Chinese new year doesnt affect the price of each coin the market,bitcoin is still trying to break the current resistance at $9k levels so lets hope it will be break soon so that bitcoin will go bull run again.Chinese doesnt play any big roles in the market because as we all know chinese are restricted to have mining and trading acitivities for months now.

You are right chinese investors are out from the cryptocurrencies right now because of the china banned to all the cryptocurrency related acitivities such as mining,trading,etc.I agree chinese new year doesnt have connection on how the market will do,you should be asking the whales and financial institutions on how long they are going to cash out so that we will know when will they dump the market.

In fact, the Chinese, in my opinion, are not stupid. And probably already figured out how to bypass all prohibitions. I do not think that the market will start to rise in a couple of days. But by the end of the month, I think there will be a long-awaited growth of bitcoin, and after that the gradual growth of all altcoins. Already, the market is showing resistance to low prices. So I think it will be soon.

i dont think so. In my opinion it will not happen as a fast pump after Chinese NYE, but slowly market will start growing after 16/2. Last year the same happened in early spring. So we can hope that the altseason will slowly start in short time, and the total mcap will get on the level as it was before - around 800 bil. After altseason we can hope for another bitcoin bullrun in ending of 2018.

Not definitely, because there are ( and there will be always ) new events which influence on market stability ( Chinese NYE is on of them ) , furthermore, the pump ( supposing it would happen ) would be slowly occuring

Not for short term and yes for longterm, We are repeating previous chart of crypto. you can see the fact that the chart of crypto in every year looks the same. I was expecting big bullish come at the end of this year just like what already happened in previous year. end of 2017.
The new year of china seems give a little correction in my opinion.

It won't pump and go into that bull market we once knew. But I think it will have slow steady growth towards ATH's near the end of march. Companies need to be releasing tangible product now to increase price. Roadmaps items will be released from now till then, with Q2 looking bright. IMO

Yes definitely. But it is not as much as you wanted it to be. Well there was a great and big dump in the beginning so you are not going to expect that it will recover that much as it was before. There is no immediate growth. Cryptocurrency will slowly recover from time to time. But definitely it would recover and hopefully it will continue to grow again and reach the value as it was before.

I would have to agree that altcoins may increase right after the Chinese New Year however, I guess the increase would not be as big as you are expecting to happen. My thoughts. Anyway, as long as there are many investors out there, potential growth in price value of altcoins could happen anytime soon.

Correct, maybe not after the Chinese new year but definitely by end of the month as many are speculative by this. We're seeing the stagnant price of bitcoin as well as the alts and I know that it will launch something big for the next few months and we all know that Chinese are too detailed and don't easily invest in something that wasn't profitable at the first place.

Yes because you can check previous price history it will prove the market growth after mid February or early March . It was not only causing Chinese New Year more over it’s the time to taking profit for most of the countries .

Its only speculation, nobody know what happen in the future. Bitcoin price will easily rise if there are many good news about bitcoin that spread. Government acceptance will makes the same impact. When news about japan that accept bitcoin was spread last year, bitcoin was easily pump.

I think so, because as a traditional Chinese investor, they are very particular in cultures and beliefs. One of this is FENG SHUI, this is the their guide to a successful business. One thing I learn about feng shui that there is what we called seasonal do's and don'ts; this will likely happen when there is an upcoming important event in thier tradition/religion/culture.

And this upcoming Chinese NEW YEAR, it is a typical "don'ts" to them to pull out investments and positions during this event just like "GHOST MONTH".

This is solely base on observation tho, BTW, my boss is a pure Chinese. And after all these years, this was I observed.
