There are 3 US resellers and we can handle all the orders just fine.  There's not a lack of resellers, but there's a lack in demand as difficulty rises.  Most demand nowadays is spurred by when the next price drop comes...

To add more sellers would mean that there's more useless throat cutting for 4-5 days following a price drop.  There are resellers who always misprice ASICMiner gear which leads to a reduction of interested sellers on eBay for example.  (Theres no margin for them). So more resellers (who are really distributors, not resellers) would wipe out those who sell on other outlets.  Which will decline overall sales.

ASICMiner doesn't need more distributors, it needs more resellers who buy from distributors, IFF distributors would price items correctly.

I'm going to go with Canary on this one.  Unfortunately with lack of further evidence as a reseller (especially a statement from Friedcat) I'm putting my BTC with the resellers that have been providing me with good service, good product, GREAT shipping and great communication.  Adding another reseller would just boggle this up.

Don't mean to thread-crap here just my .02BTC

If I am not mistaken, next group buys for these will start under 0.1 each in the next few hours.

what source do you have for a .09 a stick price?

SilentSonicBoom said the price is coming down today but he hasn't been told what the new price will be(as of 10 hours ago at-least)

I'm hoping asic blades drop to under 3BTC so I can pick up another one. Cheesy
I'm not worried about the usb asics as once you include the usb hub the $/mh/s is way higher than the blades.
There is no 0.09 stick price. Not even close. Blades may drop slightly and I am starting new group buys tonight. USB miner prices will be similar to the recent coupon prices.

I did not believe they  would be .09 btc which is why I asked him.  I will most likely stick with canary but my support is with both you and canary as the two of you have been around for a while.

Not knocking the new guy but the sales are dying off on ebay as I type.  what we really need is a better stick. not a third reseller.

I concur with philip, we need a new device, something with 2 to 3x the current power and in stock today to keep the interest/sales going.  Most of the people that have bought or are buying on ebay and other outlets are realizing the same thing that we have long ago, ROI...

Let me say the term "YOU GUYS" Is a general term here.. not going to finger point directly

You guys really gotta stop undercutting each other to where you have no room for negotiation for the guys who are spending $5000-$10,000 a week with you... SERIOUSLY

No way some guy selling 50 a week should even be able to compete with someone ordering and selling 300-500 a week... NOT EVEN CLOSE
Its become so cutthroat by the distributers that they are driving the bigger resellers away in liu of a small order.... Maybe its time friedcat get more involved and protect his investment (HIS MARKET)

PROTECT YOUR MARKET!

Did you consider the possibility that perhaps the problem isn't the new reseller stepping in and offering the same product for less... but could instead be existing resellers taking too much profit margin?

As an example... the coupons being offered for .10, to pay an additional 50% of that is stupid.  Those that bought for coupons won't make ROI on the devices, even at the coupon price.. but resellers made BANK.

Not taking anything away from existing resellers.. the services they offer are top notch.  But there is obviously good money to be made as a reseller...
The manufacturer lowering the price ever other week doesn't help either I expect... and just screws those stuck with inventory.

Honestly, the way people are looking at this new seller is ridiculous, he is just offering an alternative for people, its like Mcd's and BK they offer basically the same things at slightly different prices, but ultimately it's "YOUR" decision. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to purchase from one or the other. Give this guy some slack and go watch some reruns on TV or go back to your MMORPG. Thank you kind sir for the service you are offering to everyone.  Wink

There's a bit  to respond to in this thread while I've been out so I'll try to sum things up quickly.

- I'm not a fly by night seller, I've been trading on the bitcoin forums for 2+ years and selling electronics online for 10+ years.

- I'm not here to cut throats, I'm here to offer an alternative to existing distributors. I've used both Canary and Silent and they are great guys. I don't expect either to admit that they are overwhelmed with shipments but it is clear when it's taking 2-3+ days to get through orders. I'm not saying they should be able to handle thousands of orders in one day either, that's why they need help.

- Competition is healthy. If friedcat were to offer another coupon promotion with multiple distributors on hand, you can rest assured that no distributor would charge a 50% handling fee if they expect to receive business from the same customers in the future.

With that said, let's get this thread back on track. I've got in hand block erupter units ready to ship tomorrow, anyone interested?

I don't like it, your not very responsive, nor active as a seller.  you tell me to PM you, I do, and you still haven't replied, BUT you have replied to this thread.

Check your PM. I'm on the road today, I will respond to the bulk of PMs tonight. I have been an active seller on the forums for the past 2 years.

If you need someone to vouch for him.............I will,he was fast to respond & shipped fast too & reasonably priced on the shipping  Grin

Best of luck CrazyGuy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wink

My apologys if you felt as if I were referring to you as a fly by night seller. Iver been around here a while I know who you are...

But this Joker https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=288673.0 just appeared out of nowhere and is selling for Distributer pricings..

No one has even heard of this cat before.

Thanks for calling me a joker but I don't make anything on BTC orders besides international, the order is simply redirected to a distributer (reasoning behind the dirt cheap prices)
Paypal has a higher conversion price than if you went and got BTC yourself which is where my profit comes from.

While I haven't sold many on the forums I have sold 400+ on ebay / locally, all I'm doing is bringing the ability to pay by paypal.

Welcome to sales if fc does make you a re-seller.  I'm actually underwhelmed since demand is dried up and I don't take more than a day to handle an order, most orders go out the same day.  I can easily handle 2-3K USB orders per day Grin and can scale up easily if necessary.

you're probably just SSB's alter ego or a second account then? Smiley  kinda of a cheezy setup if you ask me... why then create confusion and distrust for other re-sellers who buy from us the distributors (as expressed by them here)?  your arrangement with SSB obviously wasn't very well thought out by other of you.  Look to the way ssinc has approached filling the PayPal/international gap and other buyers who sell on eBay and other outlets.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, while I do use SSB as BTC orders are just sent to him, I'm not saying I don't hold any stock I do and sell out. SSB doesn't want to do ebay or paypal he simply sells to me, as long as you send him the BTC he will ship it wherever you want domestically.

My USD price is very close to ssinc and my international prices are very competitive (lower btc value but longer shipping time), and ebay I don't undercut.

This is the free market last I checked, I could technically sell under cost if I wanted just to mess with everything at a loss to me.

You do this out of the goodness of your heart... That's pretty cool of you.. Imagine If the world was filled with more people like you..

You underestimate the amount of paypal / ebay orders.

Why do you call it predatory pricing, its not the OP of this thread has the exact same pricing structure as me. You don't know how many units I order and I am taking paypal as a payment option.

Even ssinc has the same pricing if you calculate out his free shipping the unit cost is higher which balances out the shipping cost.

I also said its a free market you can sell them for w/e you want, which distributors do. Do you think that the price per unit suddenly decreased because AM is making them for less this week than 3 weeks ago when they were at .31+ each, there making them for the same amount there just getting rid of them at a lower cost because there is less of a demand.

what source do you have for a .09 a stick price?
1. Huge jump in network speed and complexity over last couple weeks and the genesis block site (telling us where it's going). 2. The fact that I was buying USB sticks starting at 1btc and through 0.15btc over this summer. 3. 0.13btc sellers popping up over last 48 hours.

You may start getting my drift. Realistically, it's blade time IMHO. USB Sticks over 0.1ftc will suck donkey parts compared to 3btc blades. Think about it, 1 blade is about 30 sticks, which is 0.1btc/stick. You will have to add three USB hubs for about $120 (1btc approx), while a blade takes a $50 power supply.

I predict blades at 3btc (or slightly above) will be next "USB Erupter" for bitcoin enthusiasts who are still willing to never get their ROI Smiley

Again you misunderstood why would I or anyone sell under cost....its an example, and due to the amount of distributors there isn't much of a way to participate in predatory pricing you won't run anyone out of business, yea you'll take sales but eventually you'll just loose way to much or your competitors just have a very loyal customer base that will pay them whatever they charge.

And you don't know how many units I order who knows maybe I order enough to get a lower price but don't go under anyone else, why bother undercutting its plain stupid. I sell at market value if market value goes up my price will go up, if market value goes down my price will go down.

And because of bitcoin unless someone that has knowledge of the transaction confirms my order size then you won't know, I could have ordered a few thousand units and am getting the price similar to fc's posting and could go lower or I'm ordering direct from fc and smaller orders just get outsourced because like I said I make a profit off paypal sales.
