Both the ICO nor AirDrop I would look at the exposure of the projects has a good purpose or not. If good then I will follow the project, Because both can benefit me.

Guys! Stop hoping for a freebie (airdrops). Start earning yourself. It is not very difficult, only a small amount of money and desire is needed. With good wishes!   Grin

I'm curious and sort of trying to differentiate these two. What are the cons and pros of ICO and Airdrop? why does other cryptocurrencies use airdrop and most of them use ICO?
Both are just a ways of promoting their project before it totally launched in the community. But mostly airdrop isn't bring a good benefits to the participating members for some of it are just scam. Investors will look for ICO not for airdrop because it give them chances to buy coins in bulk and they can also determine a legit ICO.

Well, the question ... This is how to ask what color is better)) This is absolutely different things. Each campaign has its own goals. Create an ICO is a collection of money for the subsequent realization of the set goals. AirDrop is to give people tokens (often they do not cost anything at this moment) for advertising and hype around their project. Because free tokens lead many people. The more people, the more hype about the project. And the more noise, the more investors can learn and become interested in the project. Everything is easy and simple. If the project needs a lot of people, but few know about them, then the airdrop is a good way to attract attention for ICO.

Well, it all depends on the project itself. How much money it requires to build their infrastructure or if they already have an infrastructure, how much funding would they need to sustain it. Basically, if you have money, you choose airdrop, if not then ICO.
