Late 2017, Dimon argued was on Bitcoin as “fraud” but again in Jnaury 2018, he turned his statement to a positive realism and admits that “blockchain is real”.

Additionally, during an interview with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo says he regrets making those statements.

This is a great news for us, big BANK acknowledging the significance of blockchain/cryto. What do you think about this news?

It's simply reassuring our beliefs from the begininng. Nothing new here.

Though, I think that it means institutional investors are still interested in investing in cryptocurrencies. There is even a possibility that a lot of them are accumulating at this stage when the prices of bitcoin and other cryptos are at a low for months.

Will this have any affect on bitcoin price though? I don't think so because if it had a large impact it would have already happened. Bitcoin is still floating at around $8k-9k and that news doesn't help it get past the $9k resistance.

Plus, Dimon lost most of his credibility when he called BTC a fraud anyways.
