Help needed becoming a community member

Hey guys,

Been living in a cave and only became aware of bitcoins a few weeks ago.
I have been reading have come to the realization that mining bitcoins isn't a form of income but should be looked at as more like a project or a form of investment.
Now taking everything into account i have decided to got the route of a raspberrypi linked to a usb hub with 3 or 4 usb asic miners, running minepeon.
Decided to take this route because lack of space in my house to run a further lan machine just for mining, also this way i can mess around with rpi and see what all the hype is about.

I'm posting this thread because of 2 problems which i'm sure most of us encountered when joining  this community,
First can someone point me towards a reputable bitcoin seller so that i may acquire my first?
Second can someone point me towards a reputable uk retailer/e-tailer where i can buy 3 or 4 usb asic miners?

And as for buying bitcoins, either use localbitcoins.com or an established online exchange - needs a bit of research which one is easier to move fiat to/from for you. Generally, do not rush anything and do your research first.

I took your advice and will proceed to purchase a few usb block erupters from a fellow forum member to start mining and try to read/visit the forums more often.
I don't really expect ROI(lol look at the noob trying to use the lingo XD) but just feel like joining the community by mining a tiny bit and purchasing some Bitcoin.

Now my next big question is,
having had a look at localbitcoins and seen that i have the option to purchase cash in hand bitcoin from users in london.
Is this really safe?
Any particular aspect of their profiles i should be looking for in order to further guarantee my safety?
What will the transaction entail?
Any advice will help really?

If not this option, i was referred to a reputable exchange.
Could anyone name a few?
Will they accept card payment?

Once again sorry to burden you guys but working ten hours a day and studying, sometimes my brain spazzes out and i have to admit i haven't been reading enough about Bitcoins.

Look at the graph of difficulty and imagine what difficulty  will be after a month, two months - the most important thing for you that the equipment must come in time and not delayed.

Meet at safe place, and get phone or notebook with internet so you are able to check the transaction. Take a friend as well
