People used to complain about the negative trust. Now, they are complaining about the merit system. And they will complain about any system that is not beneficial for them in the future.

I just do not understand what they actually want.
The merit system incites people to make high quality posts, even though some qualified people are not getting any merit points and they are not complaining about it.
No offense, but you, complainers, just want to rank up to enroll in signature campaigns.

I, honestly, have no problem with getting zero merit points because I trust people's decisions whether they think my posts are qualified or not. I do not think they will not give me merit points on purpose.
So, please, stop with this fuss and move on already.
Theymos is still patient with you and I salute him for that.

All I see is "Oh merit destroys my life"
No, it has not destroyed your life. On the other hand, it allows you to be aware that you need to improve the quality of your posts so people can reward them with merit points. No pain no gain.

It is a fact that no one is perfect . Yet, you should not be careless when you are about to make a post. And for the record, I have read this post several times to see if I made some grammar mistakes or not, and hopefully I did not make any.

May the force be with you, guys.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

There is no problem if a member wants to participate in signature campaigns. Now that we have merit system, he will have to prove his worth to get a shot. Best thing is that it will benefit the forum as we can expect to see quality posts here. If members do more research before making the replies, we can expect detailed answers that can result in improved search engine rankings.

If you are complaining to those people you have mentioned, complainer instead, I just want to tell you that this post can't do anything about it. No matter how many times you told them that merit is not a shattering system of their lives, they won't give you a shit brother. Believe me, you are just wasting your precious words for those who don't want to understand and follow.

But don't worry, those complains, complainers, won't bring any harm on this forum. And I'm sure, they can't do anything but to follow or else, leave!  Wink

It is not a problem, indeed. Yet, there are some users who are making unqualified posts just to rank up, not because they want to improve this forum with their contributions.
I do not think making these kind of posts are against the rules. But still people need to show that they care about this forum.

We do not need violence to force people to do things. Perhaps with the kind words, they will manage to understand bit by bit until they fully accept it.
Sometimes, we need to have a both strict and easy father to teach us how to deal with things. If you want someone to follow you, you should be nice and strict at the same time. That is my perspective.

yes there is no problem about merit points.
But we are obsessed with the distribution system.
There are very few merit sources in the forum but the members are too huge in number.
We know they are human so they are not able to each and every post and comments too.
Merit system is the hot new topic in the forum.
taking advantage of that, everyone is talking only about merit system.
take a look.
Since the merit system is launched the number of posts and comments in the Meta discussion is increased.
Someone criticizing merit system,
Someone appreciate merit system.
This will always going on.
Hero/ legendary will defend the merit system and rest will criticize.
This will go until the new moderation is not applicable in the forum against the merit system.

So we have to wait before draw down any conclusion.

Most of them do not deserve any merit points. They will realize soon and will stop posting here.

Someone criticizing merit system,
Someone appreciate merit system.

This is due to a number of reasons. First is that the official announcement thread has not been made sticky. It gets lost in the pool of these new threads about merit system. Second is that some members log in many days after and notice this feature for first time.

There are still many people who think it is harmful, but in reality we can understand and understand much better about Bitcoin. We can have a much better motivation to generate a good discussion. Yes inevitably we must be able to accept it because we are all here is a user and I believe this is the best thing that can be done at this time. There will definitely be another plan if the system does not produce something much better, but personally I would like to say that this system is very good and has a very positive impact.

I don't think we need any more threads by people complaining about the complainers either.

All I see is "Oh merit destroys my life"
No, it has not destroyed your life. On the other hand, it allows you to be aware that you need to improve the quality of your posts so people can reward them with merit points. No pain no gain.

When you can't speak English very well and you've been earning a fairly decent living here merely by shitposting barely coherent one liners for the past year or so over numerous accounts I'd say that's pretty devastating to them, especially when they got used to this laziness.

I do not think we need people who complain about the ones who complain about the complainers. Just kidding.
I just wanted to get it off my chest, you know. ( By making this thread.)

When moderators imply new rules to make forum more presentable and useful, complaints from people is natural (and in most cases those people who complain more are those who managed to abused old rules..lol), well this is just same scenario in real world when government imply new laws. I am thinking though, if sig campaigns are big factors why people shitpost and farm, can't we have here in forum a system like trust but instead of red trust people with authority can tagged "shitposter" then after certain counts it would result into perm ban?

You are right about this. Majority is always against changes. This decisions is harsh for the members but  I will be happy if the admin is able to achieve the desired target of quality posts being made here.

the changes that have been made have been thought of its impact, obviously it is for improvement and make better and well ordered, but may not all be able to adapt to the update, let alone the update resulted in the delay he experienced, would make a disappointment.
it can not please everyone for this, but getting used to accepting this fact must be accepted.
I am the one who can accept this application (merit system), although it will impact on itself, but it will be good in time.

Hahaha you hit the nerve, I was thinking also, if I would be Stock with Jr. Member for a year with thousand of post and no one gives me merit, I'll be laughing stock, just asking if we could get merit in another way if no one gives me and I'm not planning to buy point from others, because we need also to rank up because you'll be Stock with.   . 5 stake every bounty end.... You know my point?

Do you want to say that there will not be enough participants for bounties ? I guess that is not true because of two reasons:

1) There are already huge number of members and above rank who got these ranks be default.

2) A lot of new members are getting merits and ranking up.

I feel people are yet to fully understand and embrace the sole aim of merit system. And the earlier they come to terms with it the better. If memory serves me well, the main purpose of this forum is to widen a persons learning curve about cryptocurrency and other general stuffs and not for people to keep throlling the forum all in the quest to rank up easily.

i agree with this merit system.   to improve  every member to do a quality post..  at the long run.  they realize that is a good things.   i think many members here want to gain more in. a signature  campaign as fast as they can.    thats why.  some members dont want the merit system.  everybody knows that if you  got a rank up. you will receive a high reward also.   if you participate in bounty. but remember. there has many ways to receive a high reward not only in signature campagin  embrace the fact   that to earn more you need to do more effort about it.  cause if the merits system thats not establish   i thinks the foundation of this forum  will collapse..   we should thank them for making this forum cause..  think about it. where can you find a forum like this.even you a newbie.  can earn  here. just by participating on campaign.. a lot of people  want to join here. cause. they know  its easy to earn even its just a small amount.  in the long run it became huge amount.   and also.  if they have. decent job. they can also perform here.  plus  having a knowledge about crytocurrency is a good things.   GOODLUCK TO ALL OF US HERE..   do more effort to achieve what you want.    its worth it. 😉😉

Oh, another merit-bait thread talking about merit beggars and whiners.

I, honestly, have no problem with getting zero merit points because I trust people's decisions whether they think my posts are qualified or not.

LMAO, subtle ass licking. I applaud your skill, my good man.  Cool

Great idea. Now people can stop whining about not getting merit points to rank up.
Since you are active and that you check everything that is posted on your thread. I would want you to take a look at these two posts. Perhaps you agree with me.
