Free ONT tokens for all NEO holders

Hi All,

Just a little heads up to all you NEO holders (or anyone contemplating buying a few whilst the market's caught in this endless, sideways shuffling limbo): The Neo council is planning to airdrop 20 million ONT to the community as a gesture of goodwill. The snapshot of NEO addresses will be done at block height 1974823, which is estimated to be at March 1st, 2018, around 5:00 am (Pacific Time) and for each NEO that you hold, you will be assigned 0.2 ONT. However, it's not 100% straightforward:

• Delivery of the first ONT tokens, your first 50%, will be completed in the weeks following March 1
• The other half will be automatically locked and airdropped to Ontology MainNet (anticipated to be released Q2, 2018, specific date depends on how the Ontology TestNet is operating - a good idea would be to follow @neo_blockchain for updates on this)

Great news for NEO holders eh? Free GAS and now free ONT (which by the way looks like a top project - and OnChain were recently selected for Microsoft's Accelerator progamme)! Just make sure you are holding your NEO in your Neon Wallet at the time and don't leave it on an exchange (KuCoin would be the exception, as they have pledged to airdrop the ONT to their users [https://news.kucoin.com/en/announcement-kucoin-will-airdrop-ont-to-our-neo-holders/]).

As far as i know, people, who were on their whitelist will receive 1000 ONT.
So 0.2 for 1 Neo looks to small, but still a pleasant bonus 
Ontology is a good project, it's a pity that they canceled main sale.

I don't think it worth rushing for, I like NEO and the platform but if one look at the amount going to those people on their whitelist and this airdrop announcement than you will see the huge disparity, I already have NEO in my wallet but the token will not be significant when it arrives

Bag holders of NEO like me would have another free money? this is great news gas + ont,luckily i moved to KuCoin few weeks ago because bittrex sucks.NEO is indeed growing faster than ever before  and this is just the start because NEP5 tokens would be the choice of these new developers over the old and outdated ERC20 tokens.

Most people are very optimistic about ONT, so it's a good thing to have a NEO, but it's a pity that ONT has no formal crowdfunding, and I hope to buy more ONT，i think that when it list on exchange then the price will too high.

It's important to note that March 2 is the Lantern Festival. It's a big deal in China where almost everyone participates.

This airdrop happening on March 1 is no doubt connected or in celebration of March 2.

As a trader, I'd say this is also great because people will spike Neo's price on the last day of Feb. So that's also a golden opportunity for baholders to bail.

I haven't much looked into the ONT project, but from what I've heard in the past, it's going to be promising. It's worth it to get free ONT tokens. I guess if you have a lot of BTC, you can quickly buy NEO then get ONT, then sell it all off.

Hmm. I think 0.2 ONT for each NEO is really really small and poor holder like me don't have enough NEO to get enough 1 ONT from this airdrop. LOL. But I think this airdrop will make traders attracted in NEO and it'll make NEO price pump very fast. LOL. Btw thank you for sharing this news. I'm going to transfer all my NEO on Binance to Neo wallet before 1st March to join this airdrop

Neo stored on neon wallet, after updating the wallet and airdrop, half of the amount was displayed, the second part of the airdrop will be available in the second quarter of 2018. So who received only half do not be surprised ONT will come again.
