Looking for feedback: I have built a cryptocurrency news web scraper

Hiya,

In my spare time I have been building a cryptocurrency news aggregator [https://cryptonewsagency.com/]

Hopefully the community will get some value out of this. I have received great feedback to date and am continually looking for constructive feedback to develop the product roadmap.

A bit of background, I built it from the ground up and connect to a fantastic web scraping API firm called webhose.io. I've tried to scrape authoritative crypto news sources as well as trending forums such as reddit, hacker news etc. I've also incorporated a ticker of the top cryptocurrencies by market cap. The most recent feature I've released is the ability to add comments and discuss certain topics. Future release will be to tie it into Google's machine learning service to detect the overall sentiment of news headlines e.g. Positive, Neutral, Negative.

Is a very good initiative, congratulations. But the site do not have a nice designer

you can create a website with a more beautiful designer and organize the site so that it is easier to find anything. That window that shows the prices for example, you can make it down and more beautiful, in the end see some designer or you create something more beautiful because the idea is excellent and to finish my post, you do not want the person to pay for advertising on your site? if you want people to pay for advertising on your site then create something beautiful

I think it will be a good idea to categorize each thread/posts so the user can easily find out what to read.
Adding some real-time price list will be good (if that's possible), and please can you change the header with the logo to make it more attractive?

The idea is good, as far as the design has some faults, at least in my browser the horizontal scroll bar covers the data.
I think you have to improve the design to make it more usable and attractive.

Yes, the idea is good but as what others have said, you can improved the design and layout better. The display is not perfect as the scroll bars is hindering some of the data. And I checked it on IE, and  to my surprise no data is loading. As for the mobile phones, the data all loads and looks fine. I guess just a few tweaks will really do good. Make it more attractive because its really looks like the old and traditional website we can seen like in year 2009-2011  . Hope that you take this criticism constructively.

Aside from the design, I would also try to include some basic filtering of posts.
It would be really useful if you could filter articles per keyword.

I don't really mind a minimalist design like yours, but now it kind of empty and it still needs some work.
