I like the whole idea of having a decentralized ID system but to we really need this system? if nobody can get access to these IDs why would someone will create such system?who will be responsible if some information were leaked to the public if a hacker compromised the whole system?I dont want my  Identity to be at risk just like joining these KYC ICOs.

Yes, Microsoft said that it will use blockchain technology to create Decentralised ID systems, but that does not mean that the prices of BTC, LTC and ETH will also increase. Blockchain is something, which most countries and institutions are positive about, including those who hate Bitcoin. But yes, if they use the blockchain of a popular coin, then yes, you can expect some good bull run!

Blockchain is something, which most countries and institutions are positive about, including those who hate Bitcoin. But yes, if they use the blockchain of a popular coin, then yes, you can expect some good bull run!

I guess we will have to wait then, if Microsoft decides to create their own private chain then this is the same old problem of having a centralized institution control of your information and this will have no effect on the price but if Microsoft begins to develop this on one of those chains then this will be good news for the price, but I will not trust personally something developed by Microsoft unless the whole thing was open source and independent developers reviewed the code.

It will be good if more and more big companies adopt blockchain technology to integrate in their already functioning infrastructures, but I hope this will also help to raise the bar of crypto and also raise the value of the various digital currencies we like to hold for long term value. I think many of us are hoping that more and more mainstream corporations will use this technology to benefit mankind and also help more and more people out of poverty as well. Let us see if this Microsoft work will be in everyone's favor now and in the near future.

Microsoft will only use the blockchain technology but they didnt say that they will use these three cryptocurrencies are you making up something? buy BTC LTC ETH  for what?these coins arent even a privacy coin which you are mainly concern about because your topic is about Dentralized Identificaton System.

Do not get too excited microsoft didnt announced that they will use these coins you have mentioned and i personally doubt that they will because they can easily create their own cryptocurrency using the blockchain technology which is better than having partnership with these solid coins.I dont like KYC verification because it may compromise our privacy this is just like what microsoft is planning to do with DIDs.

I think from reading the links that with this proposed DID everyone
will be in control of their own info.

This is a great news , a big company like microsoft admit crypto network , but I think it would be better if they go with CVIC company for Identity .
