To tell you honestly, the NBA players performance no matter how good they are in-game can't be reflected on what they will show on the All-Star game.

For example:

-Stephen Curry, know for his deadly three point shots lose by Klay Thompson
-Voshon Leonard defeats Peja Stojakovic
-Jason Kapono defeats Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash 2 times
-James Jones defeats Kevin Durant, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce etc.

.. any many more. So yes, it's really unpredictable as STATS is not a good basis.

For Dunk contest, this will depend on uniqueness and type of dunks. Even a certain player is a big dunker in-game, we don't know if they can show a dunk that will impressed the judges.

For the 3 point shooutout if within favorites, I’ll choose Klay Thompson however I also have a half of mind to pick devin Booker just because I admire how he can scores. For the slam dunk i’m choosing donoval mitchell for his hops and for how guards have an advantage over bigs and he has athleticism that i think he can use on the Slam Dunk contest

Surprised always happened and I think it's Devin Booker's time and he will able to upset Klay Thompson. For the record, he finished third behind splash brothers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson during 2015-2016 3 point shootout All-Star game defeating James Harden and Kyle Lowry.


Slam Dunk: Dennis Smith Jr.

Victor Oladipo is known for his 360 dunks and already have an experienced for joining dunk contest. But I think he is lack uniqueness. Larry Nance Jr. is more on power dunks. Donovan Mitchell will be a great contender for Smith Jr.

It's more way better to see some elevations if the player is not that tall. Standing both at 6'3", we can see great highlights from these guys.

I will root for Klay Thompson on the 3-point shootout. I love the way he shoot that ball even in games in the NBA. But if he will not win that shootout it does not mean that he is not a good 3-point shooter. The contestant are all good and luck will win for them on this one.

I will root for Klay Thompson on the 3-point shootout. I love the way he shoot that ball even in games in the NBA. But if he will not win that shootout it does not mean that he is not a good 3-point shooter. The contestant are all good and luck will win for them on this one.

Booker wins and escape thompson I guess its luck and dedication to captured the three points showdown, the all star really gives the fans some more
enjoyment, very thrilling part when clay almost tried the score 28 against 25 three point short and fans really love it.

Honestly I should hit it both lol.

Three point contest was a closed one. Maybe it got tied if only Klay hit the moneyball at (if Im not mistaken) 2nd or 3rd track on which it will gave him a perfect rack. But prior to the contest, I really see that Devin Booker will win this time and revenge his defeat by Klay last 2015-2016 NBA All-Star.

Im just a biased here for Dennis Smith Jr. because Im a long time fan of Dallas Mavericks. So I set aside Mitchell and pick Smith Jr. and look, they both show difficult dunk. I really love that reverse behind the leg dunk by Smith Jr. on second round and although he didn't make it to the first attempt, still at the end, judges gave him a perfect score. Mitchell on the other hand, no doubt gave his best. I like his copied Vince Carter famous winning dunk.
