Can we get an "n" in there please. Thank you.

Are you saying it should be written "An RCA vulnerability..."?

That would be incorrect grammar. The "n" for "An" is only added when the word that follows starts with a vowel sound. The correct spelling is "A RCA vulnerability..." Additionally, the "a" versus "an" choice should be based on the sound of the first letter of the word that follows, not an acronym as is written above.

I think you're wrong about acronyms. Your source shows this example:

"She has an MBA, but chooses to work as a missionary."

I'm not aware on any plausible pronunciation of "RCE" that would start with a consonant sound.

Good call, I stand corrected on the acronym part.

The decision to use "an" still relies on the sound of the first word that follows. So for "MBA" the sound is "emmm", which is a vowel sound. For "Missionary" the sound is "mih" which is a consonant sound.

Is the "R" sound out as "Rrr" or "Arr"?

Definitely "arr" in the acronym. I can't imagine anyone saying "rrrrrkee..." or "rrrrrsee..." , it's "ar-see-ee".

RCE == Remote Code Execution. It's not a word, it's three letters.

Definitely "arr" in the acronym. I can't imagine anyone saying "rrrrrkee..." or "rrrrrsee..." , it's "ar-see-ee".

Hahaha, exactly! BTW, good to see you, hope you have been well! I need to check the GAW thread, thanks for the reminder! Cheesy
