They got me!
Im not sure where I even found the link but it looked legit, site was very well done. In order to even make a purchase you have to login through telegram and generate a security code so I think this is why I believed it was real. I logged in send over $200 in ETH and noticed my balanace said 0 for like an hour. I verifed my tx went through on coinbase and started looking for a support option on the site. https://ton.fund . The URL was a red flag at first but then I remembered that telegram is weird like that as they use t.me for their official website. Telegram should remove access for this login and it should stop the process.

also here is a link to the video on their page.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O-jnS72gY4

They put some money behind this scam and hired a development team, graphic designers and video animators.

ton[dot]fund and others popping out are most likely fake/malicious/scam. By checking the official twitter accounts of Telegram Messenger and Pavel Durov [founder/CEO @ telegram], there is NO News/Announcement about TON or it's ICO. If there's really an official ICO ongoing related to Telegram Messenger, they will surely Announce it through twitter and website, so don't end up sending any amount to the thieves' sites claiming to be official. Images from twitter:

Just to share, EtherAddressLookup is helpful because it gives warning to users about phishing/fake sites. It will warn you right away when you enter a malicious site listed in their blacklist like how they did when I tried to check ton[dot]fund.

Obviously a scam because telegram has not announced any partnership with this project, and their entire project is as generic as can be. If you did a simple search of the pictures of the founders, then you can see that all of them are fake.

The "Dr. Nikolai Durov" guy on the team page is actually whatsapp founder Brian Acton. They're not even making an effort to hide this in the slightest way possible. Always check for official endorsement before investing in any existing company ICOs.

Apparently, they've sold 700 BTC worth of tokens already. Hopefully this figure is made up and not that many people have fell for this...

scammers changed their website domain:

https://www.ton-sale.com

All of these scams use the same template, just under different domain names.

Any ICO inestor that has the slightest knowledge about their trade and has just a little bit of care to make them do some research before they actually invest will realize that what these companies are offering isn't the real Telegram ICO.

These names registered onto the domain is probably fake anyways. No point having it.

All of these "phishing" ICOs coming out recently, always verify that you're investing into what you think it is before you send funds to an unknown person across the internet.

In that case, why did you include "Telegram ICO (TON / GRAM)" in your subject title? I think it's unfair to malign Telegram ICO with these scams and/or phishing sites, (http://)ton.fund or (http://)ton-sale.com.

You can find all information about Telegram ICO her, https://icodrops.com/telegram-ico-ton/ and on their whitepaper

Quote
"Current GRAM rates
GRAM / USD = $0.80
GRAM / BTC = 0.00007330
GRAM / ETH = 0.00096935
Current discount: 45% from base price"

 Be careful everyone!
