The ICOs will die out soon and here’s the possible reason why — Risky with Poor Returns. Cryptocurrency scams are common. What’s even more common is lying during the ICO process. Lying about team members, making false claims about development or prototypes, and exaggerating expectations. Investors will realize the incredible risk is not worth it. The risk of people running off with the money; the risk of losing everything; the risk of teams not delivering on their promises. All of these things will compound, resulting in poor returns.

Here’s one of the reason why ICO will die: Fear is one of the strongest human emotions. Its power halts progress, freezing the will to challenge the unknown. For many people interested in ICOs, this fear will originate from regulation. The regulation smackdown will probably happen in 2018.

Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?
ico will still be there. and indeed there will be more models and also ways to get investors including private sale. will not die for ico. indeed everyone must be patient. included in ico. For example, IOO is indeed good and I recommend you if you are still confused is Kamagames. You can read the whitepaper first before investing  https://www.kamagames.io/

The ICO will die simply when we are runnin out of money. Many ICOs burn through capital at an astonishing rate. We have seen companies that are spending well over $100 to acquire a single investment.

I believe that ICO will always exist. unless they're banned by countries to protect their citizens from fraud.

ICO cannot die. This is because ICO'S are the propelling force at which bounty campaigns are growing daily in thousands. If ICO which is a medium for every project to gain it's financial status dies today. Then there will be nothing like bounty.

Nowadays, ICO's has been numerous in the market. They will finally continue to die if the numbers of ICO continue to increase. Legitimate ICO will only be the remedy that ICO will exist

We invest in the cryptocurrency, many of whom have implemented the project through the ICO. I think that ICOs will be subject to regulation with regulation, they will decrease in number, ICOs will not die.

I wonder if this is happening. so many ico appeared in recent times. I wonder if they will all see the next months. so how will it be so how will the project stand. ultimately the money in this sector is certain. How will all this money be distributed.

In the most basic sense, I think ICOs are alive today.

But, more figuratively, I think they are dead.   (Or should die soon?)

The best kept secret about ICOs is that they are fundamentally centralized.  An entity is actually selling you the crypto.  One single entity.  And, in most cases (though not all), that crypto is not yet developed.  Instead, they have a placeholder ERC20 token.

I'm not a huge fan of law and legislation, but I have to say: if you are buying a token that is a promise for something that is supposed to be valuable in the future, that feels a lot like a security.

And finally, it's important to mention that Satoshi never did any kind of ICO.  Instead, Satoshi made bitcoin work (with the help of an amazing community), and then simply released it.   That, to me, is how decentralization should work.

I don't think they could die that easy, I mean, they are making lots of profits to the developers of those projects and I think an organism that regulates them is needed.

My point is that ICO will never disappear. If the ICO disappears, then the entire cryptocurrency will begin to decline. ICO is very important for cryptocurrencies, although there are many fraudulent ICOs.

ICOs will never die because there so much money involved on ICOs. Also many people needs ICOs too, bounty hunter needs ICO to earn money, Investor needs ICOs to invest their money and get profit, the project owner needs ICOs to fund their project. If there are so many scam ICOs in the future, I think it will make ICOs die.

I believe that the ICO will have a slightly different appearance in the near future and therefore it is important to monitor the market changes. What coins appear and how they use the information dissemination system. If you now cling to the bounty of the company, you can soon succeed.

The best way for ICO to not die is to supervise, which guarantees investors and protects the cryptocurrency.

As long s crypto still exist and it is still gaining more potentials, I do not think icos will die because there will continue to be companies with ideas and they will want to promote and launch the project to make profit so they will come to crypto to achieve this aim because of the number of the large community that crypto has but I am sure in future, the rate at which icos come in everyday will be reduced. Only potential and well screened projects will be allowed to come into the community.

I think the ICO will last long enough. Because this is just the beginning, more and more people are prepared to invest in them. As long as more and more companies want to promote services and products, as long as they want to invest in cryptocurrencies and as long as someone wants to support those companies, the ICO stays in the crypto world.
