I used hola vpn server google chrome extension. So far, it worked for me, I suggest to use it because of user- friendly environment. To answer if its important? For me, yes. To avoid the banning of your account when you create it in your country server like mine, PH

It provides an additional layer of protection, so it's definitely beneficial, but I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary in most cases. If you're on a secure, trusted network, and you don't mind your ISP knowing what you're doing, then you could get away without using it. You're going to always want to be on one when using a public network though. It could also protect you if your device hasn't patched the fairly recent WPA2 vulnerability among others.

Another word of advice: try to stay away from free VPNs. They're free because they make money in other ways, which may include selling your data.

Do you mean: Is it important to use VPNs on cryptocurrency websites?

Well, it depends. In the netsec world people always recommend using VPNs on whatever site you use even though you're only on your home internet connection. In your case, it depends. What are you trying to achieve? or why do you think masking your IP is necessary when opening crypto websites?

Everyone should use a VPN all the time. Some might argue that looking like you're trying to hide something makes you more suspicious but I disagree. VPN should come with the operating system

In Paxful, you don't really need VPNs... Because Buying and selling is so easy!

Yes using a VPN is important because it creates a secure connection between you and the webpage you are visiting. Some people seem to think that VPN's are only useful for hiding your identity, which can be the case but I use a VPN for security measures. Also Nobody wants their ISP spying on them.

Yes, using a safe and reliable VPN is very important not only when you go on crypto-currency websites, but always. Especially if you are using a wi-fi connection (wi-fi are quite easy to crack and monitor). So using a VPN will encrypt all your data, so that you'll stay safer. Unfortunately it's not so easy to find reliable VPN, I use mullvad and it's quite good, but there are lots of VPNs out there which is better to avoid. Fake services, slow ones and even the ones which spy on you. I hope decentralized VPNs based on blockchain technology will be implemented...

Free VPN is not reliable and not secure. For example, you cannot even register here using free VPN, as so many people used it before you. So that is why I try to avoid extentions like Hola (though built-in VPN in Opera browser can be OK in some cases).

Just don't access crypto websites on public hotspots. Free VPN is not reliable, you can make your own using a raspberry pi.
