Trying to get the daemon to work, but it's stuck syncing the first block - keep getting this message over and over again.
I compiled directly from source and I use this conf file and get several connections:

    p2p-bind-port=17333
    rpc-bind-port=18333
    seed-node=18.219.192.247:17333
    seed-node=18.216.209.246:17333
    bind-address=127.0.0.1
    bind-port=8071
    daemon-address=127.0.0.1
    daemon-port=18333

This is the error I'm seeing. Any idea?

I had a similar problem this morning.  My daemon got stuck on a single block, repeating the
following error:

Sync data returned unknown top block: 14528 -> 14538 [10 blocks (0 days) behind]

I deleted the .dosh directory and recreated it and restarted the daemon.  It's working fine now.  I suppose my copy of the blockchain was corrupted and the daemon couldn't automatically recover.

Fortunately, the entire blockchain is still very small.

Hi JBnl,

I believe you have fixed this issue? For those interested, view the full dialogue on Telegram.
The configuration file is only for the walletd, not for the dosh daemon.

Simply make a hidden directory ".dosh" on your home path, and run the dosh daemon.

Any other issues post them on Telegram and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello,

We are currently making sure we have a strong network and wallets ready before contacting exchanges.
We already have a good list of exchanges to contact etc so stay tuned on that news.

Is there any purpose for this coin ? anything new about this coin or is this just another cryptonote fork ?

Mining is already in full speed, but there's still no wallet for Win. Not a fair play, you, genius Linux users! )

Seriously, how do you get an address to mine to on Win? Thank you!

Hey ppzalex,

The best way to use dosh is on ubuntu. If you want to simply create a wallet, you will have to generate one with either simplewallet or walletd.
You can then get the address and use it with any miner. The easiest way is to use simplewallet as follows:

Run simplewallet (within dosh/build/release/src/):
$ ./simplewallet

Press G to generate or O to open a wallet file

If generating a wallet, enter a name (e.g. wallet.bin)

Then you will be presented with some details about your wallet, within you will find your address.

Will this be supporting masternodes and if so how many coins will be required to setup one?
