When buying from a buy order of a cypto currency trading page, is it advisable for the buyer to offer a higher price than the seller's price so he can fill the buy order or has a higher possibility to fill the order?

This is no different than in the stock market  (I don't advise placing market orders in the stock market very often however).  You can buy at the "market" if you're looking to lock in a trade right away.  It's very liquid so it's not difficult to obtain the current price you're seeing right there on the screen in front of you.  Now setting a "buy limit" order would be advisable if you're looking to lock in a certain price below where the current market value lies.


Also- many exchanges don't offer the kind of tools needed to let you set a limit order.  I would recommend the "Bitcoin Ticker" app by XBT Apps ltd...It's an awesome application that allows you to set price alerts.  I set this guy and will wake up in the middle of the night to place an order if need be

it depends on the situation and what you want to do!
for example if you are planning on buying Dogecoin for example, the buy price is 68 satoshi and the volume of asks on that price is about 10BTC. so if you want to buy 0.01BTC worth of Doge it doesn't matter if you place the order at 68 satoshi or 100 satoshi. in both cases you will get your 0.01BTC worth Doge filled at 68 satoshi.

but if you want to buy 10.1BTC worth of  Doge then if you place your buy order at 100 satoshi you will get 10BTC worth of it filled at 68 then 0.1BTC filled at 69 satoshi.
