REBL has 10% per year staking. Maybe not the most popular coin, but it has small market cap with good potential of growth and active community.

I used to mess with Elite coin but just got rid of it as it pumped recently. Now I mainly have some MUE and Onions that I stake and have for a MN, I prefer the Onions as development is more active and so are the forums. But MUE provides solid passive income that has been there for me for the last 6 months plus.

The original cryptocurrency that introduced POS (Proof of Service) and Masternodes : Dash
Unless you mean proof of stake ?

He meant PoS = Proof of Stake.

Onion is POS with reasonable 10% per year. But I have my doubts about the projects. Avoid those with 50%+

I'm choosing masternodes from https://masternodes.pro

Masternodes coin need minimum i will suggest you the strongest one. Its dash for strongest masternodes coin but it need much money to invest on its masternodes. Another alternative masternodes is bitsend and zerocoin. Next platform EON from exscudo also have masternodes features with minimum 25k EON.and for POS coin without minimum you can buy NEO and waves.

For masternodes altcoins I suggest you Dash if you have a lot of money, other masternodes coins are Dash forks like Pivx or MUE. Personally I prefer Proof of stake altcoins since it is more friendly and easier for newbies since you only have to buy the coins like NEO and keep in your wallet for staking and get reward based on your invesment. Ark and Lisk are proof of stake with delegate system so you will have to vote for delegates and they will pay you every week.

DIVI project / DIVX - nodes under $3k at current

Tomochain, unknown amount needed for a node (estimated at 25k coins) - ICO march 1st
People cannot participate in that one anymore sadly since it had proof of shilling and reporting in. Do you happen to know when they send out if you are in or not?

Here are some websites that list masternodes and their ROIs:

https://masternodes.pro/
http://mnrank.com/
https://masternodes.online/

Most of the highest roi coins will just be basic coins that don't have proper volume & attention. You should look trough the list, and invest in some where you are comfortable with the volume, m. cap, number of master nodes, master node cost, the price history, how active the project is(development & marketing), and anything else you can think of. You will probably be eliminating many of the very high roi coins, but you will be left with coins that will still return a good roi, and will not drop in price/will increase.

I thing that Dash is to expensive to play with master node in bear market.
Best thing are some small one that not even existed but have some plan how to rise.
Then with patince you will hit your pump of the week some time.
