Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Ill pay the mt gox going rate. I was kinda leaving the offers up to the sellers here because I dont know if people go by bitstamp or mtgox.?

For people selling btc it's better to use mtgox prices, for buying them, better to use bitstamp's Smiley In your case, you should buy at bitstamps price (cheaper)
