Can anyone explain to me why SBDs are fluctuating so much at the moment? It's worth $5+ when it's supposed to be pegged to USD 1:1.

My questions are:

1. Why is this happening?
2. Does this mean that the pegging system in STEEM has failed already?
3. Does STEEM prices have anything to do with SBD?

When I was playing around with steem prices for each SBD was less than $1 most of the time. Undecided

I have steem coins, and I`m considering to invest in Steem-Dollars, too. But I´m not sure if this makes sense. Wasn`t the goal of steem-dollars to mirror the price of US-Dollar, like Tether?
