If you are familiar with Windows, stay with it. Except, you want to waste your time to learn something new. You will lose money and time, but you get something that can't be rated with money, that is experience and knowledge.

I'd rather suggest you to venture to linux.
In my experience, linux are not only good for hashrates, they are also good for the life of your hardware.

Mining with Linux is better for a lot of reasons :
 - hashrate improvment,
 - viruses free
 - no update during hours
 - no intempestive reboot
 - less memory using
 - less hdd using
 - no hdd required : Linux works on a USB key
 - no licence/no hacking : it is free
 - easy to use versus Windows
 - and so on... :-)
