Can you show an example of this actually 3D printed on someones "home" printer in plastic as the pictures are renders/metal?  I'd appreciate it, thanks.

I have ordered one already but it takes a bit of time to arrive!
I'll post pictures as soon as I can Smiley

Also you can see the preview of the plastic material on shapeways.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I can print one of these this weekend if you shared the file with me, I'm not sure you'll like the quality though as I'd expect your coin has tiny details which weren't optimized for peoples home 3D printers that go to resolutions ~0.1mm.

Unfortunately I'd say you don't even have one of these in hand and this is just a CAD design (done by you or contracted out?).  It may not even be valid for the collectibles forum since you haven't put a limit on it which makes it more of a "good" since someone could order tons of them to be made/replicated.

Sounds good! let me know how I can send it to you for a test print Smiley
I can also scale it up a bit to make it easier to print?

Yeah seems like my post was moved to digital goods by the mods.

Thanks for your help anyway!

No problem and send me a PM if you'd like some help in getting started.  I should be able to scale up the model on my computer without degradation  Smiley

Seems like you set your account as to not receive private messages from new users.
Can you change the setting or give me another way to contact you? Smiley

Thanks for your interest!
If you're interested in buying the coin in silver you can go the shapeways store and pick one of the silver material option Smiley
You can choose between premium , raw and polished silver.

Interesting and thanks for the heads up, I've updated my settings and wasn't aware of that.

Nice work and good design. I like the concept and the overall coin of 3d printed. Do you make it yourself or you get is custom  make from the 3rd party. And will you be issuing certificate of the material that is going to be used like for gold or silver?

Thank you for your interest!

The design and 3D model are all done by me. The 3D printing part is handled by Shapeways Smiley
Regarding the certificate I'm not 100% sure but I'm assuming Shapeways will issue you one.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
