Most of you are about to think I’m absolutely nuts, but Im looking for some suggestions as to what coin(s) should I consider for a $35,000 swing play. I’m been wanting to take a position this large for a while, but I am not sure which coin(s) to consider. I’m not looking for blind opinions here, but rather very serious thoughts. If any of you, more  affluent, coin traders were to take a position with $35,000 on the line what coin(s) would you invest in? I have done really well with Ripple and Siacoin (and overall BTC) in the past year, but with all profits I’ve made I’m ready to see what a large, yet calculated (to the degree we can calculate), trade can do in the very short term. Note that my risk tolerance is HIGH and I’m really looking for the best shot at 30-40% profits. I know timing is important obviously, but I don’t read charts. Maybe it’s not so much about the coin, but rather timing on more active coins. Too many factors and angles that need to be considered. Ugh -

So, If you could place this trade what coins would be on your radar this week?  Also what factors are mostly considered in your conclusion?

Thanks. Looking forward to the thoughts of many.

Swing trading isn't for altcoins, to be honest. You're putting pressure on yourself to sell within a certain timeframe which isn't good since a pump can not come until many weeks later, if you know what I'm talking about here.

I'd say BTC, and EOS. Price for EOS seems to be testing $11 at the moment, which should be able to achieved.

BTC, nothing much to say about it apart from the fact that it's going to hit $12k soon. With this volatility it's pretty much perfect for your portfolio.

Anyways, try to diversify instead of sticking to one coin. It's hard to recommend single coins that will go up for certain in a short period of time.

Take stratis you will not regret. Many also liked ADA, I think it is possible to make a good capital on these coins in the near future.

My suggestions are EOS and PRL.

Both projects made a big steps and I'm expecting a new ATH for EOS within 1-2 months. Volume is good enough to take 35K without a raise.

If you want less risk i suggest to invest in btc, eth and ltc and hold tight for good profit, if you want some biggerprofit faster then you can look at powr, amb, evx, cob and bitclave, i have myself invested in them and im sure they will produce huge gains in coming weeks.

Lisk is relaunching on Feb 20, and its price has been steadily climbing for a few days now in anticipation of the relaunch.

For 35K USD, one of the coins I would suggest is ETC.  The volume and liquidity are excellent so it's easy to get in a fairly large order using a couple of exchanges. And it's accumulating right now with a good chance of upside in anticipation of the Callisto sidechain, which will give ETC holders the same equivalent of CLO.

But even without that info, the price action alone is obv good to take a position on.  Here's a small post I did about it:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1622909.msg28550493#msg28550493

Another altcoin I like now that's looking nice is VTC.  Not as liquid tho...  I'll post something about it later if I'm in the mood.

I agree with you, such hyped coins would be good choice for this kind of trade. Especially tron is probably the best choice for that, new hyped coins with very high market cap  Smiley

Ok I heard you all. Good information. I did make good profits in TRON before. Last week would have been a good time to really take a large position. But here I am still holding too much bitcoin I my opinion. Any thoughts on a good entry point for TRON moving forward? I don’t have a problem waiting until a good entry and exit point, but I certainly feel I can take way more profits over the same time period with an alt coin versus having too much money in BTC. BTC seems to dormant right now, while other coins are making moves. Again consider me a newbie. I could be thinking about this all wrong and perhaps a little greedy. I already hold a lot of coins for the long. Just think I could do better faster.

I currently own BTC, EOS, OMG, XRP, ADA, BCH, CANN, NEO, XVG, ETH, LTC, AND IOT. Again seemingly newbie coins mostly... what are some ‘hidden gems’ I might be missing in this coin portfolio? What if he above should I be heavier in? If any?

Again, I like the idea of Entering TRON at the right time. For those who can read charts and have a good touch and feel for these things please share what you think might be a good entry point.

Thanks again... I appreciate and feeling thankful for the fact I can reach out through here. I have no friends as interested in coins as I am. Lol sucks... they think I’m dumb. Lmao. We shall see who ends up the dumb one. Lmao

I really like Litecoin and neo too, even though I've done a little research about them and I think they really have potential. and add Eth in my list.

It is very easy to figure it out actually.
just trade the top cryptocurrencies based on history and stability on its total volume,for example;
Ethereum, everybody knew it's the next generation of bitcoin.
if we are looking at its volume,we could see that it's a second one compared to Bitcoin and very hardly to get replaced by others.
diversify it to 4 coins is not a bad idea either,
just trade ETH,BTC,XRP(for the time being and it's not recommended to hold it for a while),SIA(it's a good investment if you're investing on the right time) and LTC.
so far they're giving us a steady increase based on their price.
