Average Word count as a parameter for a quality post

I've read so many things about the merit system and i think it all boils down to the system just finding new parameters to be more objective. Now, I have nothing against having moderators and empowering high ranks to give out merits i think that's a great idea. i just want to suggest to help out people like me who also wants to be able to join bounties and increase my rank objectively. If you will observe the altcoin discussion forum, the merit system there is stagnant. If there are people who merits, they're scarce.

The important thing is to be on point, no intro no outro. Honestly, you can get merits without putting many supporting details like throwing daggers on the target. It's like a game, directly hit can win you the prize and applause by the audience.

If you're on the forum for the rank and bounties,you shouldn't be here in the first place.If the merit system is prohibiting ranking of accounts like your which around the forum to spam for shit token bounties ,I guess it's doing wonders.

Verbosity and obfuscation can kill a post. A quality post is one that leaves the reader with a feeling of satisfaction for having read it. There isn't really any other consideration in my opinion.

The number of words can not be a quality post parameters, which is clearly there are special features, as follows
Become an interesting topic.
Useful for the reader.
Can solve the problem.
Can change a person's life in use as a reference. thanks

This won't help at all to quantify a constructive post. People will then just cheat the system and add waffle or obfuscated junk to their posts and this already happened with signature campaigns that requested posts be over x amount of characters. Users just added invisible characters to the end of their post in order to game the bot that checked. If you want merit then keep making quality posts and you should be rewarded with such over time but just making your posts a certain length isn't going to cut it.

it is not the sole parameter but it could be one of the parameters. I get the things that has been said about being concise, but not everybody or not all posts are given enough attention that's why we need to be more objective about our parameters. Just saying.

If you're trying to accumulate merits, or just want to say something lucid that gets noticed, it may be an idea to start a new thread with your magnum opus, rather than risk it being buried in sig spam on an existing one.

I absolutely agree with this under many circumstances.   However, when it comes to the mixed bag of users that make up bitcointalk, wit is something that isn't even worth shooting for--just like sarcasm and humor.   Those things tend to get misunderstood more often than not and probably won't earn merit most of the time.   Nor does the average user from Asia have much chance of writing something witty outside of their local board.  For them, if they write anything less than 200 characters it's pretty much guaranteed to be a shitpost.

I haven't seen a one-liner get any merits up until now, no matter how good it was. Maybe people are inherently more inclined to reward longer posts, because they imply that the reader knew what they were talking about?

Which leads people to draw things out, since merit is the most important thing for them right now.

Padding makes it worse, not better.

Here's one that I can write about Bitcoin vs Gold (putting in the minimum effort):

you should pick the bitcoin over the gold because the bitcoin is going to the moon and as you can all very well see in the past histories and the charts bitcoin has risen at a really really high level and so thats why i think it will continue to go forward and we will see it be a better investment than gold by a long shot.

324 characters. Does that have any substance? Would it be any better than this statement? "Bitcoin > Gold. Bitcoin has performed well and I expect it to continue doing so."

Absolutely not. And the fact of the matter is, both of them lack in quality. However, whereas one requires you to strain your eyes and read, the other is quick and easy to understand.

I acquiesce that the key part here lies not with the actual grammar, however, but the content. But! Grammar and proper sentence structure improves understanding. If you have a bad post, sure. We'll report it. If you have an incomprehensible post, regardless of intended meaning, then it will be considered spam by default.

I heard some people are able to travel in the future but the truth is i think they cheat the system to run faster than the hours which is a scam behavior.
