I fully agree with this, and also can not understand why it is not one of the top priority of the lead dev team too (although im sure they have a good reason for not adding better merchant support).

I feel if bitcoin is to become more widely adopted, more people need to accept it.
However accepting it is not so simple for "humble web developers".
I find we have to rely on 3rd parties (nothing against 3rd parties, but it defeats the object of bitcoin a little to have to use a 3rd party).

Now Armory has some good support, im hoping these guys may address the issue! (fingers crossed).

I also wish i knew C++ but don't have the time to learn it, nor much need as a web developer....

For now, i am using BlockChain's API, but have built my "payment verification system" as php Objects so it can hopefully be easily replaced once Bitcoind or Armory offers something like a watch only feature!

Hoping the future is bright  Grin.
