I'm not a prosecutor or a judge. Here you can often see accusations without court and investigation. I do not blame people, just point out the vulnerability of the Merit system itself. You want a "high quality post" here you get plagiarism. I think if you check most of the posts with merit, then this list will be larger.

And to accuse ATriz & his/her friends of prejudice is at once death on this forum.

To your main point. Single cases like your researched one are not representing the "truth about the Merit system". Only if you would find a majority of Merits/relevant numbers of Merits, given for plagarized posts, would confirm your conclusion.
But it shows, that managers, meriters and we all must pay higher attention to this problem.

You can see to whom exactly aTriz gave her Merit. There are no random people on this list. They are all her friends or write messages against her enemies. The casual person in this list is one. But this is not entirely accidental. He participates in her bounty and engaged in plagiarism. 50% is a good indicator of the uniqueness of the text. Unfortunately, they are not here.

I am not retarded and follow forum rules, Ive been in several forums where people get membership levels based on experience.

Still in my whole life I haven't seen such a reputed member offering points for plagiarized content. BTW which country you belong?
Most people are looking for their own stomach, but one doesn't know whom they are offering or promoting in their own country.

You give Merit to many random people. It would be foolish here to look for a cause-and-effect relationship.

There is a cause and effect relationship--all the posts I gave points to I liked and thus merited them.  But I've only got a limited number of sMerits, so I have to ration them.  And I usually only give them out for posts that are in really good English.   Spelling, punctuation, and grammar all count in my book. Typos I can excuse, but some people just can't write.    I don't merit posts that look like they were written sloppily.   

Other people have different criteria, I'm sure.   That's what's going to make this system work.
