Buying merit

Hey Guys,

since almost nobody is meriting posts in this forum and the chances for ranking up are therefore quite limited, I asked myself the question if it is legit to buy merit?

I mean if its legit to buy and sell accounts, why should this not be legit?


Just another concern regarding the new merit system....

What do you guys think?

There are a lot of other threads that discuss this, but NO, you cannot buy or sell merit.  Your account will go red with negative trust for doing either.

Buying and selling account is not legit. It is highly discouraged and may result in a neg-trust.
Rather than buying merit, create a good post and share it to get reviewed on some review thread.

This is a statistic from Indonesian local board thread which shows that you will get merit if you deserved it. Try to find the suitable thread to get your post reviewed.

Selling accounts is not allowed too. Account dealers are being dyed by red color with negative trust.

I think that the merit system is designed to encourage users to contribute the forum growing. Be useful for other users, and you will get enough of merits.

Merit system was imported to force some members to improve their post quality. If we could buy Merits, that would mean shitposters would be able to buy it too. If that happens what would be the purpose of Merit system, it would mean nothing. So no, it would be really bad if buying Merits were allowed.

There is no need for that. If you want to get merits then you provide the best quality of posts you can. If you are not getting any then maybe you are doing your best the wrong way. There is no way of losing here, ranking up might take long? Yes, maybe. But your learnings, your perseverance to post the best of quality you can? Nobody can take that away from you. In the future you'll probably think that this Merit system is just a tool for you to get better.

No my friend buying and selling account is allowed,it is not against the forum rules.Although,it's a discourage and unsuggestable to do so.

@Op,Buying and selling merits are strictly prohibited.If you're eager to get merit then the answer is with in you only.Don't try to buy merits ,do what you must do and merits will come to you.

While selling or buying accounts will not get you banned , but for sure will get you red trust .

Hmm so let me try to understand this , Theymos introduced a whole new system to prevent spamming and you are asking if it is legit to buy and sell the points which this system based  on !!!  . You know if it is legit then the whole system will be pretty much useless ! , there is no point in introduced it in first place . Of course it is not legit man . I do not know if you be banned or not if you caught doing it , but for sure you will be painted in red if you got caught doing it .

Account selling is a one time sale, merit can be sold a few times. Also, allowing to sell merit would defeat the very purpose of merit while before the merit system, accounts would be gaining higher ranks just by activity. Tho, I believe that account selling will be getting you a ban as well.
