So i notice when you go on google and type in words like binance, electrum etc... many times the first link that shows up is a site that has ads on it that apparently is a google ad but not the real site and thus a phishing site.  I have heard examples of people downloading fake electrum wallets etc on these links and then typing in their seed and then their wallets get hacked.  Also with someone mentioning they logged into binance with the fake site as its the first site that shows up on it and their account gets hacked.  I heard this with fake bitcoin cash/gold wallets a while back as well.

What i want to know is this.  If you do visit these sites but do not put down your seed for wallets or put log into your binance/myetherwallet account... are you generally safe?  As im sure lot of people probably clicked on these links which they thought was the real site and then they say their accounts got hacked.  Someone on the forum here said the only way you could get hacked is if you actually typed in the seed for your wallet or you typed in your account/password for myetherwallet etc.  So is that true or false?  If you visit these sites but don't put in any information, are you generally safe?

The other thing i want to know is this.  Why has google not removed these ads?  I read that someone said people pay to promote these sites so they could higher than the real results that first show up.  But these are hackers putting up links.  How has google not banned these?  For example when you type in binance, first link that shows up is google ads binance at the top.

I'm not sure with this but in my prediction maybe Google couldn't have much organize and systematic security that able to catch and store the different list of  information about a different possible hackers and/or spammers. Their system maybe only has a ability to perform what their task or what their offer to their online system. Like for example, their capability to do some introduction and promotion about new company, new system and many other things that should be credited to their business negotiator...Maybe this is only the google system task and cability.

why would you even want to visit these sites in first place? always check the real link and bookmark it and use that bookmark to visit the site and be safe. also remember to enable 2FA.
but no if you visited the site, there aren't that many risks that can threaten you. although through things like JavaScript they can run malicious code on your computer through your browser.

Anyone?  This is a security question that im sure lot of people want to know.

because there is no law against creating a website and advertising it with Google as far as i know and it can be called anything you want. and they don't check what the site is doing.

Most countries do have laws against thing like this (fraud), and they're against AdWords TOS anyways. But you're right that Google doesn't automatically check them, and that's why they won't be taken down before there are multiple reports about them.

Phishers generally want to have your passwords and other exploitable information, so in this sense you would be safe if you didn't provide any. But there's also the risk of drive-by malware that may exploit vulnerabilities in the software you run; this may result e.g. in malware being installed on your system. This is why it's safest not to visit any phishy sites at all, or if you do, use something very hardened, not your general run-of-the-mill web browser with its plugins.

Just a tip, well this is what I do. Every time I want to dive in and research a coin I go to coinmarketcap. I go to the coin I wish to research and I click on the website 1 or 2 option. This a tedious task but nevertheless very efficient. There is really little space to get scammed   Grin Grin Grin

Many advertisement used to persuade people to enter there traps so that they can benefit your account sometimes we can't notice that we already in trap because of a one click all your information are being transfer to them and then everything gets ruined after all, So you will regret and with that my tips for you is you should be more careful and secure everything before you survey, research or dive.

I also saw like that. I came to know about that when someone complaint it about the phishing site of bitmixer on their announcement thread. It was hard to believe for me about google but when I search I myself found them. After that I take care while searching to not go to any ads from the google search.

Even legitimate websites have porn ads on them, props to Google Ads. Seriously, there are no written laws or rules regarding these type of ads though these might fall into fraud since you are freely advertising a phishing site or allowing these type of ads to appear on your platform. That's why Google banning crypto-related ads is nonsense, especially if they can't clean up their system and helping on misleading people. The PageRank algorithm is definitely a nice sorting system made by Google, but placing scam sites on top of the relevant sites seem to be a bad way of business and should be looked further. Just don't click those sites that you know are fake and always check if the website is on HTTPS or not since your credentials might leak one way or another.

Its because Google can't rely uses bot to track and monitor those ads. But scammers are very clever, they may found a loophole of Google system and exploit it that's why you will still more adds popping in their page 1 which all turns out to be a scam.

I still remember back then when SEO gurus can easily get their website on the Google's Page one, they can even go higher on authority ranks or websites that has a good page rank. Sooner or later Google needs to change their algorithm to be able to cope with this scammer's ads to prevent people from being phished.

I'm not sure with this but maybe Google can not capture and store different information about a different hacker and / or spammer. Perhaps this is just google system task and stability.
