Is Gochain just another blockchain on top of the Ethereum blockchain and can be used for all kinds of different purposes or is there a specific use case for Gochain?

Hi, mt55. GoChain is only based on Ethereum technology. However, GoChain is being built to solve fundamental issues that plague existing cryptocurrencies. When we say GoChain will be more decentralized, we are simply addressing the problem of how open decentralization did not work as intended as more than 70% of mining is in China and the majority of that is run by just a few companies. GoChain forces nodes to be in different countries, run by unrelated people/companies.

GoChain is built based on Ethereum blockchain technology. However, GoChain is trying to improve the blockchain itself by solving 3 main problems. By replacing PoW, we drastically reduce energy consumption because there is no mining, at least 1000x. By using PoR, we enforce decentralization to 10x more than today’s reality. And without PoW and a fixed set of PoR nodes, we will increase performance by 100x.
GoChain is also compatible with Ethereum, so DApp and smart contract developers can lift and shift from Ethereum to GoChain for 100x increased performance.
