Hi, I am from taiwan and I have been introduced by a colleague to bitcointalk to learn more about cryptocurrencies.

I intend to start my portfolio with $100k and work my way up. I am managing a small private fund which usually invest into equities

but we are now interested in crypto.

Me and my team's initial research tells us to buy ETH, NEO, Monero, Dash, IOTA, Lisk and Tron.

Anyone here working in a fund house? Any inputs?

I would invest in both of those. They are the big 2 bound to stick around.
But prices are also high.
Would invest in some of the smaller ones too. One will hit big.
At least thats my plan.

100% agree. I mean, it's kinda weird to ask for suggestions having available $100k, I would spend quite a lot of time to learn by myself before investing such a big amount of money asking for tips on a forum... And also try to understand how this market works, because that's what many people who got in in December didn't do...

good choice, I see you have to buy and invest in NEO, ZCASH, Ripple, and also XUC.

but you also do not forget BTC and ETH. because both has the big value, and will give great profit you.

Depending of the country you are living right now, I would check for cryptocurrencies mining opportunity instead. It is a waaaay better safer investment.

In this case, I would have invested 35 percent in ethereum, 35 percent in bitcoin and the rest 30 in different good and promising altcoyins. Better those that are in the top ten of those listed in CoinMarketCap. I deliberately do not give my opinion about altcoyins, since it is necessary to conduct the actual research, too much for investment, in order to trust in this issue to others. Ethereum in any case this year will grow in price, however its growth will be as always, not sharp, it is more stable, however reliable coin. Bitcoin is now a bit risky for investment. We do not know how to eliminate its shortcomings associated with poor scalability, so it is not known how well it will grow this year.

The best way to do it is to diversify your investments. Since you have $100,000 to invest, I suggest you can start off by investing in 1 or 2 Bitcoins and some few Ethereums. Combine them in 50% of your investments.

The remaining 50% will be on altcoins, and you can buy them while their prices are low. Altcoins like LTC, NEO, ICON, TIO, TRX, ETN, XVG, ADA, YOLO, XEM and the like are going to be potential, and other ICOs that are emerging in the market soon.

That's interisting but i am not working in a fund house, i am private investors and manage my money to be invested into digital coins. I just share my experience in digital coins. I have separated the money to be invested into couples digital coins too which are invested in bitcoin for long term, ethereum to be invested in ICOs projects and some money to be traded on the exchangers to getting constant profit income from trading alternative coins, every people has different strategy of investment in digital coins and you must have it too, becareful when investing in digital coins.

Split your fund expect for Lisk, I don't see any significant price action ( sorry bout this one ). I think you know about what should do but I have one advice for you, never replace all your money into cryptocurrencies, at least 10% for fund back up. Crypto is different from stock, valas and currency even they have similar pattern. Wait until March and buy any crypto you like depend your analyze because this month is not right time to buy. Patience first and good luck with you.

That's a big value for the investment purpose, It's good to make an diversified investment plan, which will help you overcome losses. Particularly it needs to be classified as top listed, high priced and low priced. This kind of investment will be effective than investing on a single asset, because market is highly fluctuating and unpredictable.

if you want a long-term investment, you can buy both (BTC and ETH) now and continue to hold it. but if you want a short term investment and want a quick profit, you have to wait until you get the cheapest price. you can also trade alt for daily profit, but the risk is high.

alt that come from your country have good potential in the future, you have to support it. Neo and Tron.

You can buy Eth and buy altcoins as well don't be in hurry it's always a good buy why goes down must comes up. That's what we are doing in the crypto space.. You must buy as soon as possible coz it will go up eventually.

I think you should choose a way that is appropriate to the particular cisrcumstances for such a huge investment amount, right now bitcoin is far below than its original price that we lastly seen, you should highly take bitcoin in consideration fo now and allocate more than 50% to it, rest of the amount can be invested in altcoin if you wish

If you're willing to invest 100k in cryptocurrencies, you should take your time and do more homework.  Asking what you should invest in will only lead to people shilling what they are holding.  Research all the projects you like and divide up the money however you like, just don't put the full amount into one crypto.

That's a great amount to start with cryptocurrency and I believe its good to hold bitcoin and eth at the same time and you can also invest with other great altcoins. Just keep on learning more about this so you will not loss that money and I know your team will work on it so do your best. You can also look for the top 10 with highest market cap for some reference.

If I were you, I will invest in both bitcoins and altcoins. We all know that bitcoin is now taking the lead in cryptoworld and it prove itself that it is worthy to invest into, so it is good to start investing in bitcoins now cause for sure it will continue to take the lead in the market where it's price can skyrocket anytime that will give us good return of investments. Altcoins you mentioned also have good potentials to give you big profits in the future so better to start investing in it too.
