Truth of the matter is that everyone is an idiot who doesn't know it. Including those hate Trump and those who love him.

Why is everyone voted into office an idiot and a snake?  Is this a case of lesser of two idiots?

Probably this is the case, but don't make mistake: it is always a choice between the "lesser of the idiots" in most countries... i'm sure a lot of people on the forum can tell the same thing of their country.

This is a problem of a bilateral party system. You're stuck with two candidates and if you don't believe in either then your only option is to not vote at all. Another is, this is a problem of democracy. If the constituents or the voters are idiots then their leaders will be too. Uninformed voters tends to throw votes solely based on a very superficial reason. If say you think that both candidates are idiots, but your co voters doesn't think so then you're stuck with who every the majority will be voting for.
