BTT MESSAGING ERROR

I wanted to message a user here on Bitcoin Talk and got this error note: "User 'XYZ_offical' is a newbie, but your options are set such that you cannot receive PMs from newbies. Therefore, you cannot send PMs to newbies, either".

Obviously this 'Option' was set for me automatically at signup, pls how do I change this setting?

Go to your Profile. On the left side, click the link for Personal Message Options. Check the box labeled Allow newbies to send you PMs.
