Oh wow. I thought the craze was over after Bitcoin's mid-December love affair, but I guess it's fresh enough again now that it has actually started to rebound. That being said, their marketing team gets a 10/10 from me. I'm not the least bit interested about their product because I'm not a fan of juice, but I'd join the promo if I could lol. I hope this translates into better sales for them so more companies could jump on the bandwagon.

Lotteries is an interesting one. There was an Irish lottery that was offering 1000 BTC.

https://www.irishtimes.com/business/retail-and-services/bitcoin-lottery-launches-in-ireland-1.3331196

The uptake would have to be significant for them to consider something like that. I wonder what the figures are.

Is it true? I think it was already set up wherein there in no people who will win the lottery.
Giving incentives and lotteries to promote your goods and services is a helpful marketing style. It used by a firm to make his/her product more attractive than usual.

Yup - it's a chance for the juice people to get their product in front of nerd/tech types who normally wouldn't drink juice.

And it's free advertising for bitcoin. The more this happens, the more mainstream bitcoin will become.

It's a good tactic for businesses to introduce crypto to their consumers. It's also a possibility that they'll be implementing it as part of their payments and such, that people would know more about it. It's one way to spread crypto to others. Though, the only thing that might need consideration is the duration of their action, since if they'll be paying 4 BTC per person for product testing, they would need a big amount of coins. Hopefully this would continue.

quite cool actually, if they were to give bicycles, scooters, travel arrangements and regular stuff, it would be ten times more expensive. so, the gift one can won is good, and at this moment quite popular, and it's cheaper for the company. win win win Cheesy

I agree that offering bitcoin as a prize is a great way to incentisize people to take part in a marketing scheme. For instance, Steam is offering bitcoin prizes to a person or a team winning its game challenge:

Hahaha this is such a epic trick, offer people the carrot and people will fall for it. Isn't it obvious the code shall never be out, whoever shall get it shall be one of the person closest, and one Bitcoin may be given to random person to keep it up. I yet can't believe people fall for such gimmicks and it's fun and sad they're using Bitcoins for this, though they're promoting it to lol.

That's a nice way to build their brand image for crypto fans and those who are always putting some money into lotteries. Few Australians can even get to know about Bitcoin when they purchase the drink. Soon instead of cash prices or having to win gold / silver coins, we'll be noticing the trend to offer free Bitcoin gift cards for purchase of certain units of products. I'm hoping that some Electronics giant provides a similar an offer since I'm already aware of cash gift cards being provided for making large purchases of electronic appliances.

Also, other possible marketing use cases would be to create a Bitcoin points card which could be redeemed to purchase crypto's or other gift cards after accumulating enough points on purchase of groceries and daily necessities.

It would be better if they create their own cryptocurrency instead of using bitcoin. But it is just about marketing so I don't expect such things in these industries.

Yes I agree that some businesses used bitcoin in their marketing strategy. One good example is what we our doing to this forum , the new company or product look for the campaign manager to hire bitcoin users. The users must carry the signature and avatar of the product or the company during posting constructive comments and topic through this the product are being introduce and being knowned. And for the price the users earning a profit coming from the campaign manager.

Seems like every sales will be surely sold out if we use that kind of strategy, wherein the company will be distributed Bitcoins to its buyers as a promotion. However, this needs a big budget but if the company do so, they must assure that they can also gain profit from it after all, which would suppose to be happen or really needs to happen. This is an effective way to gain the customers sympathy or best, loyalty but I feel disturb for not everyone knows how to manage it if they got it. Maybe it will be wasted if they don't have the knowledge about cryptocurrency.

maybe they think create their own coin is just wasting time, just like other project, but it depends on the concept of the project. if its good and the ICO sale are reaching at least softcap maybe the project still can continue but if its not, then all of their works will become useless.

so they make bitcoin as temporary handler as marketing strategy

What difference does it really make if they offer crypto, cash or some other reward? They all have an inherent 'fiat' value and could be transferred in to crypto if the winner wanted to do so. Likewise whoever wins the bitcoin will probably exchange them for fiat.

LOL. It's a good promoting way Grin. I think it's very interesting and I think the result of this giveaway will make Australia government pay attention to Bitcoin cause it's really attractive. I think after this company there will be a lot of company all over the world will apply the same kind of promote to increase sale revenue of their company. LOL
