You can look up for more information about this: the greater fool theory states that the price of an object is determined not by its intrinsic value, but rather by irrational beliefs and expectations of market participants.
a price can be justified by a rational buyer under the belief that another party is willing to pay an even higher price. in other words, one may pay a price that seems foolishly high because one may rationally have the expectation that the item can be resold to a greater fool later.

An altcoin is valuable because of their projects. As money in the crypto world is limited, the coin will need to attract fiat money investment for it to have a high value. An example is Ethereum. It was 50k satoshi during the ICO. When news reported that banks are looking at Ethereum blockchain, hot money were going into Ethereum and price even went as high as 20 dollars.

If one creates an altcoin today, what are the 3 most important factors that would make it valuable? Or 3 activities that would do so?

Every tokens have been made for a diferent reasons why there developers and team created this tokens. I think the most important thing in altcoins is that you have an alternative choice in crypto currency world and not only bitcoin but you can already choose in huge community of coins already now.

Altcoin is valuable though not released but it is because their work or platform is important here not just coins or tokens. The person who invests in the coins or tokens will be the cause of the increase and decline. No one I mean is no one who can make altcoin so valuable.

The idea of the task will be imperative and also the esteem it will add to the market. it needs to come in with an answer for an issue for it to succeed. the improvement group is likewise critical. an accomplished group will probably think of a decent coin.

I think that altcoin should have a good project and a great team, but the most important thing is the project. If the project is not needed, then no one will use altcoin despite the team or something else.

if altcoin is useful then many want it. This concept is very important in making coins because investors are also good at assessing coins. for example Etherium is a wallet that is needed by the merchant so many enthusiasts so koinya valuable.

I think the colleagues is the most essential angle in the altcoin since an undertaking with a group that used to work for huge organizations like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, and so on, will draw in a considerable measure of financial specialists and the network around it since a decent group will influence individuals to trust the task will succeed.

I think it all depends on the project, how good it is, innovative and promising, and of course the trust of investors to the team.

The most important factors for any altcoin are: this altcoin solves some significant problem in the community, altcoin is the first among such projects, and the last - the project team consists of progressive specialists interested in the development of the project.

To understand the value of each project, do your research, because there are very good ones, but very bad ones too! There is no shortcut to your own work! Don't trust the ICO ratings because they can be bought, and don't trust the most visible projects because it just depend on marketing spend, not on the quality of the project! Look at the substance, the business case, the value of the space they are claiming to take over or "disrupt", the nature of tech to be developed, the business experience of the team (most teams don't have a clue of the underlying business!!! so they can't disrupt anything...)

Recently, I have been following in particular Stellar and Stellar-related tokens. Stellar is on the rise because of the prospective Coinbase listing - probably one of the best bets for 2018. Up by more than 50% from the level a week ago, and it will continue for sure. Price has potential to multiply! Worth looking into tokens issued on the Stellar platform that will also profit from the new rise of Stellar...

There, I found an interesting, solid project, experienced people, with their token issued on the Stellar blockchain: AXU of argentas.io. They seem to have ANN for their community-oriented presale too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4431900.0 Financial blockchain, solid idea & white paper, thinking of putting in some. Just too low profile so far, but it definitely is a hidden gem in my opinion.

Of course one has to diversify between tokens, not to put the eggs in one basket, but this one looks to be worth the risk with a very attractive presale price of 0.4 XLM for 1 AXU that is 50% less than their ICO price later, so this 2x gain together with the underlying Stellar price going up, giving a double boost to it, looks to be like a sure winner, gains soon in pocket I believe - and may soon be 5-10x the initial presale price, later on maybe 20x. Following some EOS related projects too along with other Stellar projects, maybe finding some further ones there too. But I am definitely for AXU as an undiscovered diamond - others I like are much more well known - so far... But I like to pick my own things that the others still ignore - I have gained very nicely that way so far.

In the midst of the colossal prominence of digital currency. Numerous endeavor to win not by a genuine way. I regularly perceive how con artists duplicate other individuals' thoughts and make counterfeit ICOs, with the objective of fund-raising for the ICO, and after that dropping financial specialists. Be that as it may, now such activities nearly don't gather cash. Financial specialists have since a long time ago figured out how to recognize genuine tasks from trick.

We can watch now hundreds of Cryptocurrencies , but I don't see any importance in most of them , they have been created just for trading , while there are about ten coins only can be used for useful things .

A crypto currency may have value when it's platform can be considered revolutionary. The demand and supply will follow so long as it has its use for adoption. And most importantly it will have more value if it's funded well.

Altcoin is valuable when it's usable and easy to trade into bitcoin, ethereum or USDT. And one more thing that it should be popular on many exchanges such as bitmex, binance, cryptopia, etc... I recommend XLM and XRP is the best to hold for 1 year from now Smiley

I think there is too many altcoins now, so all depends on a product and liquidity of token, if token dont need then its useless.

I think it becomes valuable when the altcoin has a very specific purpose and uses. If the altcoin is very useful in solving a particular problem then it becomes valuable.

If the only thing that gives value to something is the funding itself, then the goal why the development has been funded was actually missed.

Of course it is risky. But if there some good reliable company supporting the project and advanced technology related to the Crypto – than risk is minimal and justified.
