Why the difficult value is so different from the POOL to the BLOCK EXPLORER???

http://prntscr.com/inbv9u

The pool shows 5173 but the block explorer shows 40927!! Huge difference?? Can anyone explain me why?

When you check for example the RAVEN block explorer and pool the DIFF value is the same....

This way having DIFF value so much different to calculate the profit seems impossible.

Am I missing something?

Just the professional ($85) Awesomeminer version supports the Coin Updater? I can't set in the Free or cheaper versions?

I asked about this in the main AM thread but no one seemed to respond.

Is anyone else having issues with user defined coins and balances? For example, I've mined DNR that is being updated with this plugin. Awesomeminer is able to read the address value but its not calculating the total (current rate * quantity). I've selected the user defined coin (DNR) in the balance setup window for that coin. The same is happening for other coins as well.

If the coin exists on Whattomine.com you should use that JSON address on the Statistics tab in the Options of Awesome Miner.  This tool is to add coins that don't exist as a pre-defined coin in AM or on Whattomine.

Just add:  http://whattomine.com/coins/187.json

EDIT:  Oops... I didn't read so good.  You were asking about coin balance.  Those are very hit or miss in AM.  But, I'd still add the coin via the WTM JSON address if it exists instead.

Not unless you manage to somehow unlock the HTTP API in AwesomeMiner.

Then again, if $85 for the best management tool is too expensive..

I was previously using what to mine, but their difficulty has no smoothing algorithm and periodically there will be a substantial drop (like 10,000 down to 4) on difficultly. It may only be for a few minutes but it’s enoigh to waste time switching to it and then back off. I’ve preferred to use this plug in as it’s much less suspetible to this. So is this balance calculation a bug in AM? Who should I report it to to get it resolved?

You actually need go to the $170 version to allow API access. It was a nobrainer in my case.

Dang it's $170? That is steep but worth it if you have a larger farm. (Or a farmier-farm)

Yeah... It's prohibitive for little miners, with a few RIGs (or like me, with just one) :/

$170 is my month reward lol

Took at look at these.. the graviex API documentation does not work right which does not inspire confidence in me about their exchange. Will be passing on adding this one for now.

CryptoCore also does not have a functional API, the data is all contained in the main page.. won't be adding support for this one for a while (if ever)

Does south xchange have a decent API or will it cause issues?

Thanks for the update!

I noticed that if the block explorer is having an issue, it no longer warns you though. Was this functionality removed? I had a couple that when I run in 0.3 it warns and keeping the same coin in 0.4 it doesn't say anything.

Hmm not in this version.. it should try and parse anything it can find and if the value is 0 at the end of the parse it should warn you.. then again thinking about it I think I made it silently just return the old stats.. let me take a look and try and figure something out.

I'm going to keep an updated "starter JSON" for new people coming into this plugin.  We shouldn't all have to keep typing and searching for the same information.  Hopefully, this will help some others.

I'll keep adding coins for everyone's pleasure.

But... I've run into a new issue.  When I run the plugin, I'm getting the following errors now.  It seems like something changed with Cryptopia's information, and the plugin is not able to interpret it the same?

It just repeats the last little bit over and over and never creates the customcoins.json.  I even extracted a fresh version of the original version 0.3 7Zip file and left everything as it was, even the original config.json file just to make sure I didn't do something funky with all my coins added in the new config.json file.

Any ideas Sootha?
Thank you for this list. I was considering adding a WebAPI for added ones to submit new coins automatically and pull new ones...

Is it still doing that? Try deleting your localcoins.json file - might be corrupt. That looks like a really weird Cryptopia error.. something must have been up with their API over the weekend but I honestly cannot say.. did nothing but spam LoL 3v3s all weekend cause my GF worked  Tongue

Thaks a lot for the job, but in the config.json line

"{CoinFullName: "Muuncoin", CoinShortName: "MUN", Algo: "Skein", BlockReward: 5, BlockTime: 150, BlockExplorer: "http://explorer.muncoin.info/ext/summary", BlockExplorerType: "Iquidus"}"

must be

{CoinFullName: "Muncoin", CoinShortName: "MUN", Algo: "Skunkhash", BlockReward: 5, BlockTime: 150, BlockExplorer: "http://explorer.muncoin.info/ext/summary", BlockExplorerType: "Iquidus"}

True? Sorry but I'm a noob and I'm learning. Thanks for the good work
