A huge news, and it could be a reason why people sold loads of bitcoin during the crash since the heavy FUDding came from our friends at the government agencies themselves. Also, the mysterious buyer of BTC at almost a billion dollars could be them, though the buyer is still unknown to these days. It is not new that the government are behind some massive manipulations in our society, but manipulating something that they're largely opposing is not normal. They maybe in it for personal monetary gains (obvious reason) but who knows what could they be planning behind the scenes? The move by the Central Bank of Poland is something you can call awkward yet smart at the same time. Many people lost their money in the process but many people also gained on other people's tears.

When i do read up this news the first thing comes to my mind about that mysterious individual who did bought millions of dollars worth of bitcoin which might really have the possibility or the chance that they are the ones who purchases those coins but well as being said we arent sure if they are the ones or not butt really having this kind of movement do signifies that government do always jump into opportunities on where they can able to make money. They might showing bad faces into public about opposing crypto but behind it they are doing their secret motive.

They can be understood. Inflation of the national currency of the national state is the same tax (by the way, the tax on the poor). A deflationary crypto currency of the bitcoin type allows it not to pay if people store their savings in it.
The use of crypto coins to prevent inflation is a good idea that countries should adopt in the financial management of their country. Nowadays, quite a few countries have started to seriously study the blockchain technology and its application in management. You can see that Venezuela is issuing its own crypto copper and is being traded at par with one barrel of oil.

As expected,IMO this is what likely an inevitable situation due to bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies fast growth, price and abundant population of its users, not just by a certain country but nationwide.
Central bank of poland really did a wise move by spreading such news and leaving some crypto users no choice and sell their bitcoin.Amazing that they would go that far and spend lots of money for the thing that they hard to accept or legalize.

LOL look like Poland can into crypto!  Grin I wonder how much they managed to buy cheaply because of this and if it was worth the money they shelled out on that guy.

You can find this website https://uwazajnakryptowaluty.pl related to this hashtag. Central Bank of Poland has admitted that ‘it carried out a campaign on the issue of virtual currencies in social media’. Poland’s Central Bank and FCA portrays digital currencies as risky investment without having any guarantee which are not even classified as electronic money.

Well at least they didn't try to deny it. They should be forced to disclose how much they spent on this campaign though, people have to know where their money is going.

This is huge news, the implications are just too big. I can't believe this is the only thread I've seen on these news, this should be on a sticky thread to remember how governments are already trying to manipulate the opinion of people to stop the fiat leak.

And then I have to hear how complete morons want to make the blocks huge when that would only make Bitcoin less censorship resistant.

Bitcoin is under attack on the media and on the technical side with the forking scammers. Stay alert.

I actually managed to find one more thread after reading this. Can't say much about the tech side because I'm more a casual hodler who don't even run Core. I'm more concerned about governments manipulating the price to hoard cheap btc. What are they planning to do with that? Would they "exchange" that for their own fiat to boost the treasury? Would they use that for currency wars against other countries? Or are they simply planning to stockpile that as insurance should the day that fiat obsoletes come?

Did they pay in BTC? I would like to help FUD cryptocurrencies too if they did lol.

Anyhow, theres nothing to worry about. BTC and some altcoins have become so resilient, that its now impossible for them to stop.

Its like their Pandora'x Box. It would be better for them to start adopting it.

I think the Youtuber got Polish Zlotys - poor chap, he was scammed!

lol is that Poland's national currency? It would be better for him to get paid in Paypal dollars or Amazon gift cards to sell in the forum's market place.

No offense to Poland, but I have not seen a foreign money exchanger deal with Zlotys before.
