Question regarding AS9 14th/s Wattage consumption

Hello,

I have 10 AS9 14th/s miners running and when I initially set them up I had 72 usable amps @ 208V.  However today they are reading 90 amps @ 208v.  I have metered PDUs, so the power is very easy to monitor, as I can check this via the LCD on the PUD and with APC's internal software.

I am not 100% what's going on and any input is welcomed.

Replied to the PM as well. OK you're not on 110v good What PSUs are you using? Have the temps risen?

You probably miss calculated the +/-5% amp load...they were cold when you fired them up......you probably forgot they draw much more if running hot with fans at full speed..

When I run mine a 50-55 F the fans speeds are low 2K and they draw in the low 1300's Watts
When they run at 80-85 the fans run a 6k/4.5K respectively and they draw 1380-1410 Watts
And even then they STILL fluctuate +/- 5%

I also have very short runs for my 30 amp lines to my breakers and use 12 Gauge wire... NO PDU...and direct splice with marrets to powercords..NO PLUGS...
To avoid so much loss resistance and inefficiency

10 s9s should not draw more than ~65-70 amps unless you have terribly inefficient power supplies. Have you confirmed the readings with another device?

We've been talking in PMs. Since he's colocated I am curious if something else got plugged in to his PDUs. Not sure if he has outlet metered PDUs or not, but that'd be a quick way to tell.

Problem solved.  One of the power supplies did not auto switch over from 120v to 208v on a couple of miners.

Wattage is back down to 1300's now.   Lots of lessons being learned in this initial foray into mining.  I actually am hoping to have 20 up and running by end of summer, so I am taking it all in stride.

Thanks for input also, I appreciate this message board and hope to be able to contribute eventually, versus currently "hitchhiking" .... lol
