I am looking for clarity and detailed help on how to safely redeem my Litecoin Cash from the fork. I currently have my Litecoin on Nano S. Getting the Private is unclear to me. Watched many YouTube videos, but can’t figure it out. My Litecoin is not in Legacy... does that matter? If so I’m what way? I afraid to work this out on my own as I don’t want to accidentally expose my key to thieves. Please help. Then once I have the key, what do I then do? Wait for the software to become available on Litecoin Cash website?

All tutorials for this are helpful, but there not using the Nano s.theyre using Litecoin Wallet.

Thanks in advantage for some help here.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

It may be a scam but it's still free money.

OP, you need to wait for a wallet that supports Litecoin Cash, and import in your wallet and/or private key. Make sure you've already taken out your LTC from that address - that way, even if the wallet is a scam, you have nothing to lose.

Lowest interest lending in bitcointalk history. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2846750.0

I would not trust any new wallets that support it. imho this is a scam meant to steal private keys.
My suggestion is just move on. Maybe ledger will support it one day, if so cool, else just forget about it.

Yea... after doing more research i'm not certain the LCC is a scam, but I do believe hackers are having a hay day right now accessing all the 24 word phrases as people enter them to get their private key. S-K-E-T-C-H-Y! THis is what i'm afraid of.

First you move your litecoin, then you claim litecoin cash, it doesn't matter if address becomes compromised because it's empty...

I'm not sure if it is a scam or legit at this time. One thing is that they should have 'air dropped' it into the wallet/exchange that the coins are in like the BTC fork for BCH or BTG. Why should the holders of LTC move the coins around into different wallets to prove that they have LTC at the time of the fork?

I know there are ways around this like generating a new wallet and moving the LTC out, but many people are not even going to do this.

There will definitely be some people that makes a mistake moving their LTC around and that is what hackers look for, mistakes by the general public for easy $$$

first create a new LTC wallet and move all your litecoins to that new wallet. wait for them to confirm and have enough confirmation (3 is the recommendation for bitcoin, don't know how many is recommended for LTC).

second choose and download LCC wallet. either one of these official ones: https://litecoinca.sh/#download
or coinomi https://coinomi.com/ which is for mobile

[preferably install official ones on a separate computer, or a virtual machine/sandbox, because you don't know what these releases contain. they may contain malware to infect your main computer]
[coinomi is different, it has been around for a while and it is for mobile and for bitcoin but supports these stuff!]

finally import your private keys into the new LCC wallets and claim your "free money"!

Well I'd say helping the scammers by giving them the forked coins is a hefty matter. You really should move your coins before claiming, but it's best to wait for wallets that you can be sure are legitimate. Try waiting for community feedback first. Don't give scammers more incentive to scam.
