Can anyone explain the MEW donations

So I was curious to see how much people donate to MEW, don't get me wrong its a great project, However, reading through some transactions that have been made some people have been donating up to like 7 or 8 ether. they are either really generous or its for something else can anyone help em explain it.

Nothing to explain, you have some left over money and you gave it. Beside that for some people 7-10 ethereum not that much money.

Well, I guess the donations are from people who appreciate MEW efforts in providing a free and useful platform and can afford to fork out the donations. This is something nice from the community. MEW need to pay for hosting and maintain the website.

But as far as I know about those are putting a generous amount to donate to the mew.

If they were generating a lot of amounts from ico. let's say 15x or even 25x just in some hours after ico and then if they were investing around 10 eth in ico and it looks so natural to donate some ethereum to the mew.

It's for donation purpose and i never had any negative thought about that.

Yeah I guess some people are generous but 7 eth is a lot for anyone unless they are a multi-millionaire/billionaire

Its called appreciation,because mew being the most trusted ethereum wallet most of the people loves the platform because it gives more easier way to use the blockchain technology without any hassle,with the help of myetherwallet our lives has been easier transacting using ethereu network,i know if theres someone who are running mew they would be the great and well known.

What is there to explain? It is donation, like every other donation.
For someone who has 10000 ether it is nothing to donate 7-8 ethereum, but for someone who doesn't have even 1 eth it looks like lots of money.

It is good to see they are getting donations and people do think of these things when they find themselves in a good place, MEW is a great site and a great interface to ETH and it's tokens.

Nothing to explain im sure those who are donating to myetherwallet has a lot of ethereums especially those who are joining these ICOs that are making millions of dollars every payout,7-8 ethereum is not that big amount if you are earning thousands of ethereum,they are giving back what myetherwallet should have,GIVING IS BETTER THAN RECEIVING.

I think it's a bit like an ico but it has a lot of things we need to worry about seeing from the thing that tells us to donate it.
because many things are deceptive in the issue of donations even though we donate we do not know what we can and even the results do not exist.
I say that because I have experienced it so you should never do if you want to donate some of your income better you do in the real world.

MEW donations is not a important to donate but if want to get lot of ethereum then you can donate in MEW. MEW is a great site which give you much profit.
